Room was nice, staff was kind, pool was out of service which was a huge down side as it was the reason we booked the non-refundable room. Didn't complain to the staff as its not their fault but that made the experience significantly less impressive.

The area around the hotel isn’t great, but we didn’t have any issues with that. The room was clean but did have a very strong smell of paint or cleaner or something like that that was a bit overwhelming. I always book Holiday Inn Express because I know the beds are comfy, and this one didn’t disappoint. The breakfast is okay, I do wish that they would have waffle makers instead of the pancake machine, which is usually not working at most HIE I’ve stayed at but worked fine at this one. Overall it was a fine stay for one night!

We were disappointed that the indoor pool was closed both days we stayed there. We were also saddened at breakfast to not have the cinnamon rolls they had the first day of our stay and they were out of orange juice both days. The room could have a night light as it gets awfully dark to sleep at night.

The room was clean, and the bath was stocked with shampoo/ body wash/ lotion. Bedding was clean and relatively new ( checked with UV light). Check-in staff was friendly and efficient, they noted that I had stayed there before, and asked if wanted to change my room to a room I’d stayed before ( 1st floor rather than 2nd or 3rd), at no additional charge). The entire staff respected a DND door flag.
