Courteous Staff, Cool Vibe, Fun 'Hood

The hotel has a cool steampunk/mad fairy vibe. All staff I interacted with, from the valet parking guys to the front desk staff to housekeeping were courteous, friendly and helpful. The hotel is located just a couple of blocks from the party bars of West Hollywood, so it is not the most quiet location. However, my stay in the hotel wasn't offensively loud, either. A pair of earplugs served me just fine. I would stay here again.

Get what you pay for...

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: parking--no other options but to pay
Stayed there recently...thought the price compared to the others in the area was a great deal...got good reviews...but you always get what you pay for...would have gladly shelled out the extra $$$ to stay at Chateau Marmont. Had a 1st floor room and the balcony looked right into vines that were hiding a fence keeping people from walking right up to room.

This hotel is something special - we'll be back

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet, great interior design, great rooftop lounging/dining
Cons: parking is valet-only +30 per day
Beautiful design, with original artwork throughout the lobby and in the halls. They graciously gave us a free upgrade, which we loved. The room was perfectly lovely, with great design, furnishings, textiles, and fixtures (bed was a wee bit hard for this Goldilocks). It had a sitting area with gas fireplace, a small balcony, well-stocked mini-bar, huge tv. The rooftop space is great for dining and lounging day and night, with good music, heat lamps, a pool, lots of plants, and cozy places to sit/lay. The restaurant is pricey, but very good - make reservations on weekend nights. The wi-fi password they gave us didn't work, but we didn't care to sort it out. The staff members were friendly and helpful. The parking fee and the restaurant prices were on the steep side, but I'd still come back for weekend-length stays.

This hotel is a hidden gem.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, fabulous staff, the roof top dinning room/lounge/bar/pool - super
I travel to LA twice a month. I have tried every 4*+ hotel in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. The Petit Emitage is by far the best property I have found.

Great unique hotel, excellent location

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
I loved all the touches in the room, like the fireplace, that made the experience unique. The roof top area made you feel like you left the city. A little pricey, but I enjoyed my stay.

Cute place!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, great shower with good pressure and hot water
Cons: kinda pricey on site restaurant/bar
I really liked the decor, lots of artwork and rich color schemes. The room was one level up and had a balcony. We arrived late and we told we could change rooms if we wanted to the next day, but we ended up keeping it. It was really quiet and the drapes are extra heavy--blocking out any sunlight if you choose to sleep in. The bed was a bit hard and uncomfortable to sleep on, but the linens we super soft. The bathroom was clean and well-lit, the water pressure and heat were fantastic. The fireplace was charming and the mini bar was adorable, albeit expensive. That was the only deterrent to staying there: the restaurant and bar, which caters only to guests and private members, was really pricey. I guess they have to make their money somehow! The pool was nice, too, perfect temp and a really cool view. Some of the people up there were a little moronic. I guess I expected a little less loud-mouthy, young boozers who wanted attention and more of chilled out attitude, but what can you do? I just swam around and pretended I didn't hear them! Last thing, the staff were all very nice, very welcoming. I especially liked the night desk manager, not sure of his name, but he just had a really pleasant demeanor.

Excellent boutique hotel

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
I should tell you this hotel is awful. But only because I want to keep it to myself. In truth, it is a fabulous place staffed by helpful, attentive, gorgeous professionals. The location is great, the rooftop restaurant is excellent and overall, Petit Ermitage offers a good value for LA. Service is exceptional, and the ambience is divine-- romantic, restful, European, cosmopolitan.
