I booked this stay through Hotels.com, and the entire process was incredibly easy and straightforward. The site made it simple to compare options, and the price I secured for the area was very reasonable. For Pasadena, especially near Lotus and Colorado, it felt like a solid deal for what was offered.
I stayed at the Best Western Pasadena Royale Inn & Suites, and upon check-in, I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the room was. The bed was extremely comfortable, which is a big deal for me. The room included all the basic amenities you’d expect—coffee, soaps, an ice bucket, refrigerator, microwave, Wi-Fi, and a TV. Everything was clean and well-organized. The elevator also made access to the room quick and convenient.
There were just a couple minor issues. The TV remote was a bit frustrating to figure out, and navigating channels wasn’t very intuitive. The shower water pressure could have been stronger, and the bathtub floor felt slightly soft—almost like walking on a water bed—which seemed like it may need some repair over time.
That said, the continental breakfast truly stood out. Belgian waffles, eggs, sausage, fruit, milk, orange juice, and coffee—it was impressive and exceeded expectations. The staff was also incredibly friendly and accommodating. I requested a late checkout, and the fee to extend until 1:30 PM was only $35, which is very reasonable compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at that charge $100 or more.
Overall, a good stay.
