From the check-in desk to the restaurant and bar, the staff were universally courteous, knowledgable and so very very hard working. An hotel without such staff is just a box. A comfortable box maybe, but a box. The staff at Ibis LHR made it a hotel. Credit to them.

Disappointing and not worth the expense.

I was struggling to breathe because of my dust allergy; there was dust everywhere, especially in the air vents and behind the TV. The carpets were filthy and needed to be replaced, and the furniture was worn out, with broken and chipped wooden edges. This is definitely not a three-star hotel, and I won’t be returning to the Ibis Hotel at Heathrow. The company really needs to refurbish the Ibis without question. The only acceptable part was the washroom.

When I reached there were at least 100 people in line extending to outside main road. Those were airline voucher holders. When I reached the counter after over 1 h wait in cold weather, I was told I was not supposed to wait outside in line since I had booked on my own. No one came out to announce that the que was only for voucher holders.

The hotel was absolutely amazing. Very low-key extremely basic just what we were looking for. Just keep in mind that if you stay by an airport, there’s nothing around for miles besides the airport.
