Staff is extremely friendly and helpful at this hotel…even allowing us to make some sandwiches before the breakfast buffet opened as we had to head out! Everything was clean and it has the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had!

Very good experience at the Cheese and Wine Hotel in Lisbon. The location is convenient, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind. All of our questions and needs were met comfortably from every staff member we encountered. They offered us complimentary treats including cheese, wine and some surprise chocolate to our room. The location was both quiet and a few steps away from lively areas. Breakfast was fresh daily. The rooms clean and cozy. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for advice on visiting Lisbon.

Was a great choice to stay there - with or without kids . Was amazing location we could walk to a lot . Lovey touches with getting a glass of wine and cheese as a welcome . Only think was as it was converted flats at breakfast ( which was really good ) you had to book a slot in advance - otherwise there isn’t enough space- the layout means you have to wait for one person to get their breakfast or coffee/ there were queues … also breakfast starts at 8 am - most popular with city tourists. Loved it though- and would go again .

Perfect stay

Loved the hotel! Big room, very quiet. Clean and spacious. The location is so nice, away from the most touristic streets but a lot of so good restaurants very nearby. The breakfast was very good, so fresh and fulfilling. I would love to stay here again.

We stayed in a family room with a queen bed and bunk bed for the kids. Our kids love the bunk beds. The room was clean and sufficiently spacious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is good, with a good variety of food and we enjoyed it very much. We also like the location of the hotel. It is on a safe and quiet street and it is close to many restaurants. It is about 15 minutes walk to the closest metro station, but we ended up just taking Uber everywhere as Uber is cheap in Portugal.

Room was fine and breakfast was good. But check-in process did not go smoothly. We were told by Reception that they could not find our booking and was instructed to go to CityLofts at the 4th floor of the building. We were turned away at City Lofts and was told to go back to C&W. Then C&W staff told us to wait in the dining area while they verify our booking. After 1 hour, I went to Reception to follow-up for our room and that's the only time they searched for our booking and was asked again to wait for half hour to get our room ready. New staff was poorly trained and our stay at C&W went off to a bad start. One week after our stay, my new credit card that I only used at C&W was hacked and had to be cancelled due to unauthorized charges. Not a good experience to say the least.

Property currently has a lot of construction going on with the new metro line being built at this time. Please make sure to verify what floor your room is on prior to booking. The first floor is super loud, and if you want somewhere quiet, this is not the place to stay. Also, the breakfast did get old after a few days of having it, as it was the same stuff over and over. You don't have to take breakfast, and you could always eat out as an option. The reception staff were super great at accommodating me in a room on the 1st floor away from the kitchen and breakfast area. I will mention that there are a lot of families that bring kids here, and kids can be very loud. So if you are looking for adults only, this is not the place I would recommend. Also, the wifi on the first floor was non-existent when I first arrived and checked in as they were having it updated to be able to extend into the individual rooms. I had no issues with the wifi once I was moved from the ground floor to the 1st floor.
