Nice place!

Very nice hotel. A little dated, but it’s kept up very well. Very courteous staff. Great location. very good breakfast with lots of selections. Not as soundproof as we would like. But overall, we had a really good time. Definitely would think about staying again.

Loved our room and the whole place. Absolutely beautiful, clean, nice breakfast, awesome fireplace in our room. Very nice shower. Immaculate. Beautiful view. Gorgeous on the outside too, just pretty to look at. The bar has great food and a very nice setting plus a nice selection of drinks. Staff is friendly. Only bad thing I can say is our bed was hard.

I paid extra for a whirlpool tub in my room and after cleaning it myself 3 times skin cells still floated around the water when I ran the jets. The jacuzzi they have is lukewarm and barely has working jets. And breakfast was premade breakfast sandwiches make your own waffles oatmeal and cereal and nothing else. I expected more from a usually highly rated hotel.

What was good: Property is about 15 minutes north of the falls and right across the street from the river. What was acceptable: The rooms weren't in BAD shape, but there are lots of cracks in the walls, grout, moulding, etc. that make it look cheap. Breakfast was continental cold stuff or sandwiches you pop in the microwave. What was bad: Most things seemed reasonably clean, but the first room we were in the sofa bed had stains soaked through both the mattress pad and mattress, the extra blankets they gave us smelled mildewy, and the mini fridge barely worked and smelled (I had to throw out a good amount of food because it spoiled in there). The bathrooms were not ventilated. But the worst part was the bed was very hard and the pillows were so flat it felt like they'd been using the same ones for 20 years. If our stay had been refundable, I would've gone somewhere else because the last thing you want when you've driven 2000 miles to see something you might not see again is to be too tired to enjoy it. Bottom line: Pictures and reviews promised a lot more than this place delivered.

This hotel is in a great location. We had a corner room and it was very spacious. Walkable to the river, park and brewery. When warmer it would be walkable to the quaint town. Just too cold while we were there. Breakfast was very nice. Only suggestion is some ketchup and mayo packets for the eggs and egg sandwiches. Where a little dry with no condiments for them. Hot water was not hot Sunday morning. It was much warmer Monday morning since there we not as many people there that morning. Not sure how it would be in season. Everything else was very nice. We will be back to stay again. Happy with our stay, thanks for the hospitality!

The accommodations are decent. The walls/floors a little thin. It felt like the people above us were walking through our room. They weren’t doing anything wrong. It’s just sort of the state of the building. Cleaning services are only offered every three days and if you want your room cleaned before then it’s a $15 service. We could’ve used a few more towels but overall a lovely stay. They do have a bar and limited menu during certain hours. The complementary breakfast was pretty good.
