A rose and chocolates every night - gracious touch! Sketch pad in the room to encourage artistic offerings!

Funky, comfortable spot close to F&M campus

Pros: Beds, breakfast, location
Cons: more convenient outlets for charging devices
Location: very close to F&M and Iron Hill restaurants and shops
Loved the Lancaster Arts! First time staying there even though I'm an F&M alum. Artwork everywhere, exposed brick, funky furniture. Easy parking, easy check-in. Great bar although I didn't get a chance to enjoy it. Nice breakfast included in room rate -- cheeses, hard-boiled eggs, toast, fruit, cereals, yogurt, Belgian waffles, among other goodies. Good coffee with nice-sized to-go cups. Rooms very comfortable, quiet. Chocolates on pillow in the evening -- didn't expect that but loved it -- along with a red rose in a cool vase. Nice smelling shampoo etc in bathroom. Will def stay there again!

nice hotel

It's a nice boutique hotel although rooms are very small. Clean and quiet (most important).

A good clean Hotel.

We stayed in this hotel for one night. The room was nice with zuccuzi and a comfortable bed and in a relatively quiet location. Good parking facility in their own garage. The location is not ideal and away from all main attactions. Downtown Lancaster is a good 20/25 minutes walk. The breakfast was OK.

Absolutely Wonderful!

We stayed at the Lancaster Arts Hotel for one night on a Saturday. From the time we checked in until the time we checked out, every attention to detail and every need we expressed was handled in a professional, corteous manner(and with a smile). The front desk staff was friendly and went out of their way to see to our every need as met. The rooms were SPECTACULAR; from the roses and chocolates on our pillows, to the bis fluufy robes provided for after our soak in the hottub. The restaurant that was reccomended to us by the front desk staff was amazing; if you get the chance, check out Checker's Bistro(Great food, very romantic, and only a block from the hotel). We will definitely treat ourselves and stay again! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Wonderful Stay

We were traveling very much all week, while we were away, we were in Camden, Newark, and then Lancaster. To say the least I was not too happy when the hotel we were supposed to stay at cancelled our reservations because we were checking in at 7:30PM but they said that was too late and they had sold our room to someone else. As irritated as I was to have to find another hotel on a very busy weekend in the area, the hotel suggested the Arts Hotel, and I am so happy they did! The front desk staff was wonderful, there is a lot of information in the room about the area and the hotel, and they even offered us Barnstormers tickets for that nights baseball game. The location of this hotel is wonderful if you are goign to a game. The field is right across the street. The only complaint I have was it was a little noisy at night. However, the fresh cut rose on a comfortable turned down bed, the very eclectic style of the room, and all of the perks made up for the noise. I would definitely reccomend this hotel for a romantic getaway, or any occasion. I'ts absolutely beautiful! I can't say enough good things about it!

No sleep

Beautiful hotel but the noise levels are terrible, mostly due to hardwood floors and stiff-to-close doors. It is also popular with spoilt, rich teenagers attending formal events who like to run around the halls shouting profanities at 2am. I complained about this the first night and asked the hotel staff to ensure it didn't happen the 2nd night. It did and I finally had to call downstairs at 3am to have them deal with it. I expected that I might get a discount on my room rate due to my complaints of lack of sleep but alas no. I won't be staying here again.
