"Kaanapali Beach Hotel Stay - Could be Better"
We reserved this hotel as a three star hotel. The facility is really old, with no upgrades. During the whole week, only one of the two elevators was working. The other one was out of commission for good! The air-conditioner could not keep up with 90 plus degrees days. Lots of sweating while AC was on maximum. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Our room had a direct view of the ocean. Personally, I would describe this hotel as a two and half star facility because of the lack of any upgrades.

"Felt like we found Paradise "
This hotel was just what we expected and wanted. We needed a quiet place to unwind from our busy lives for a week. Our room was directly facing the water. We enjoyed waking to the singing of the birds in the palm trees, seeing whales breaching in the distance, watching turtles popping their heads out of the ocean and seeing tropical fish swim by. The sound of the waves breaking put us right to sleep at night. Saw some beautiful sunsets too. It's a small hotel and guests would gather in the common seating areas overlooking the water in the morning to enjoy their coffee and breakfast. It was great to have our own kitchen so when we didn't want to eat out we cooked our own meals and enjoyed eating with privacy while enjoying the views. The location was perfect. You can walk to the town with many restaurants and shopping. In Lahaina there are boats to take you out fishing, snorkeling or whale watching. We will return here next year, that's how much we enjoyed our stay!

"First Trip to Maui"
Beautiful facility. We stayed in a Studio Garden View unit that was perfect for our needs. There is dining available on site, but the meal choices are somewhat limited and were somewhat higher priced. We had a rental car which was pretty much a necessity at meal time. There were markets somewhat nearby to purchase water, snacks, or groceries to prepare in the villa. The facility offered much more than we took advantage of due to the higher ages of our group. Our main intent for this trip was a relaxing break from winter, and that was accomplished!

"Great view in EVERY Room!!!!!!"
Some of the rooms need to be updated and are older, but every room at the Mahana has a beach front view of the water!!! Best place to stay for the view! They all have a balcony where you can sit and watch the sun set! Every room has a full kitchen and a grocery store within 5 minute walk. We saved money on breakfast and lunch by eating in the room or making it and taking it with us for the day then went out for dinners. I look forward to the next stay here!

"Awesome beach resort"
Kaanapali Beach Club is a wonderful resort on Kaanapali Beach. The staff go above and beyond to assure the best vacation, from the valet staff to any other staff you encounter, everyone is striving for perfection. On site restaurant is perfect with a great view of the ocean and sunset with delicious food. The pool is spacious with many different areas, and none being over crowded. They are currently making improvements to the pool area for a new larger adult only hot tub, which you may encounter some construction, but not enough to ruin your pool time. It has been noted in previous reviews about the lack of beach access due to storm damage - while this is true, we just checked out March 31, 2017, and construction crews have almost finished reconstruction of the north property beach access. While there is an onsite restaurant, this hotel is very close to many other dining options around Kaanapali, and only minutes from Lahaina. I honestly have no complaints about this resort, and will definitely stay here again.

The hotel ambience was excellent and of a very high quality and opulence. However, I wish that that would translate to the rooms themselves. The rooms were good but did not match the ambience of the lobby. Pool facilities were excellent with plenty of towels available. Breakfast in the "swan" restaurant was pricey but very good with plenty of options and one would not go hungry guaranteed.

"A good family Hotel"
We have been to this hotel off and on for the past 8 years or so. It has become primarily a family hotel. That means kids, lots of kids. If you have kids it is a great place to go. If you do not have kids and want some quiet time it may not be the best choice. It has a total of three pools. One of them is a larger type pool. The others are more along a river theme which are not as good for swimming, if that is your things. There is one small pool section that is recommended for quiet activities and that is nice ans adults tend to hang out there. My biggest complaint is the facilities fee. It is up to $33 per day per room, including taxes. The facilities should be including in the room rent.

"Great location. Great employees."
Allowed us to store our suitcases before check-in and moved them into our room. Room was nice and clean. Plenty of chairs for relaxing. Granite counter tops were nice. Bathroom was awesome. Bed was comfy. Loved the turtle tile accents. Lobby is under cover, but outside, which was cool. We got the beach view and the balcony was great. Two chairs and a table allowed us to eat outside. Only disappointment was the $8/day plus tax parking charge. There appeared to be cars parking in the garage without paying and weren't getting towed. Don't know if you could even drive a tow truck in with the low ceilings. When you are paying this kind of money for a room you would expect free parking. There wasn't a resort fee, which is another reason for the good rating. Walking distance to everything in Lahaina. Only problem with the room was ants in the kitchen, which was odd for a room on the 4th floor. It took two calls to fix, but they were great with the follow-up.
