The room is on a smaller side and a bit dated. The hotel is located at close to 8000 ft elevation so for those who have a problem with the altitude this could be an issue. overall it is a good value for the money. I would stay here again.

King bed in a very small room. Otherwise fine.

Pros: Location, cleanliness, standard amenities, the housekeeping staff was great.
Cons: The room seems too small for the king bed. The coffeemaker was fine but the coffee provided is really icky.
Good value for the location. Fortunately we didn't plan to spend much time in the room other than sleeping. With the awkward room layout, two people end up in each other's way constantly, but everything was otherwise totally fine. The king room appears to be a master suite that optionally opens to the adjoining room. It may not have been designed as a standard room to hang out in. Truck noise early each morning on the backside of the building. Location was very convenient for us.

Great place if skiing Heavenly

Cons: Check out time 10 AM is early
Just there one night. Able to get early check in on a Monday. Good pool facilities for non-skier. Beaut views to Washoe Valley. Room very comfortable and roomy, decor excellent. Really a cut above other places we've stayed near South Shore. We drove down to So. Lake Tahoe for dinner so didn't try their restaurants. Offered shuttle to Stagecoach base lodge or "Skier Express", a funicular type people mover. A big flight of stairs at the end of the day but quite convenient. Price was only $125 mid week (mid-March) so I'd do it again!!!

Nice secluded location, clean rooms, quiet

Pros: The location was quiet and not busy even though it was christmas/new year.
Cons: Was hard to get in touch with lobby at times. Given wrong room number initially which is a hassle because it's far from the lobby.
Location: We did ski school and went tubing. Loved the downtown and mountain/gondola ride.
The room was very clean overlooking nothing but snow covered pines. I was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. They had covered parking for those coming back early enough to get it and that was great to keep snow and ice off the car. Shuttles run on the hour. This is great for someone looking to get away from the crowds. Kitchen stocked with lots of dishes, appliances new condition. Large adjustable bed, deep tub and cable. Nice stay overall. Oh, and the cafe is unassuming but served excellent meals.

Beautiful, spotless rooms!

I got a great price on this resort for Memorial Day, and the staff and room were awesome.  Free parking!!  Things to know, though: it is very far from the lake, high up a VERY winding, VERY steep road to the top of the treeline near Heavenly in Nevada.  I had searched for hotels which took pets, and this hotel does not take pets, with exceptions for service dogs.  It is very windy up there - we had 50-mph winds and it is a steep walk to everywhere, so I do not suggest for seniors or those with ambulatory disabilities.  The kitchen are extremely well-stocked and they have a huge refrigerator, as well as fireplaces and gorgeous views.

Shoulda took the kids

We were greated with friendly staff. We were only there for a couple days to attend an event in Tahoe. We were concerned at first about the 15 minute drive from town but the lovily morning & evening views along with an hourly shuttle service won us over. This would be a great week or two vacation spot with the kids with all the Raquetball, basketball, MOvie theator & facilities. beautiful views from the 8 story roof top spas ( glass inclosed & open air ).

The Ridge really is a hidden gem!

Pros: hot tubs, convenience store
I was luckey enough to find this place on a last minute trip to South Lake Tahoe. The hot tubs on the roof are incredible, and that alone would bring me back. The views are breath taking, and the staff was very friendly. They also had a convenient little store in the club house to stock up on the essentials. I definitely hope to make it back here sometime soon. If I'm ever in the Lake Tahoe area again, I will be staying here.

Great location and views.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
The ridge offered everything i was looking for. First and foremost was the close proximity to Stagecoach ski lift. About a stones throw. Great skiing, no lift lines (weekends included). Best part was the rooftop hot tub surrounded by snow. Spacious room with all you need. Good housekeeping and staff. I will return.
