After reading lots of negative reviews, I was worried my room not meeting our expectations. I booked a two bedroom villa. I was pleasantly surprised upon check in that we got our suite in the Ridge Pointe building. The two bedroom villa is a one bedroom suite with full kitchen and a studio combined. The rooms are renovated with a fireplace and washer/dryer in unit. Bathroom toiletries are decent quality Dove products. The balcony overlook the mountain and ski runs. The views are fantastic. Location is wonderful too. It's 2 minute drive to Stagecoach lift or a 10 minute downhill walk. We didn't need to use the shuttle service. We used the sauna and pool table in the building and enjoyed them too. Service was great when we requested additional blankets. Overall we had a perfect stay because of the building that we were luckily assigned to. So I am giving five stars. I just wish this property advertised with the pictures of what you will really get.

Hot tub was hot and fire place put out good heat! The place was very comfortable for our weekend stay and the proximity to Stagecoach on the NV lift at Heavenly was fabulous! We didn't need the shuttle bc the place was so close. Would recommend staying here again!

Service was way off the mark for the price. Inaccurate information, flubbed attempts to help, and a general lack of hospitality. We checked into our unit (at the separate check in desk). Told all was well in our building and hot tub was working. Changed into bathing suits with kids and went down to tub to discover it wasn’t working. Called the front desk (is separate building). Received conflicting information on status of hot tub and whether/when it would open. Told to use to tub in another IHG building next door. Walked over and found our keys did not work. Asked for keys that would work. Front desk said someone would drop off keys, then confirmed someone had dropped off keys. No keys were delivered. Then drove over to the check in desk to have keys recoded — which they did. Tried keys on building next door and they did not work. So, drove back to front desk to update coding — third time was a charm. Asked for a credit or refund multiple times and was offered zero compensation or apology. All the while, vacation club sales reps are calling us trying to strong arm us into attending a timeshare sales presentation. What a ridiculous ask — “buy a timeshare at our hotel that has broken amenities, bad service, and lack of customer care!” What a joke. Beyond this, room was fine but not great. Non-carpeted floors were dirty, and dishwasher was loud. No coffee filters (though instant hotel coffee with filter was available). No room cleaning. Not sure what else to say.

BUYER BEWARE- the View rooms do not come with a view and Expedia refused to correct it. I paid a premium to get a View room and pictures do not depict property I was given. I could have a gotten a larger room for less money had the rooms been properly advertised. I reported to Expedia and all they would do is offer me OneKeyCash credit instead of a credit back to my method of payment. Spoke with properly too and they were no help, blamed it all on Expedia.

We have been staying at this property for close to 40 years. Since IHG took over in 2019 it has gone down hill. Many things were inoperable including the main hot tub in the clubhouse and the sauna. The pool was filthy. The hot tub in the building we were staying was inaccessible because the snow had not been cleared for what certainly had been many days. The room was run down, the appliances were old and cheap. The heater in the room sounded like a freight train. Staff was rude and dismissive. We first stayed at this property when it was brand new, back in the late 1980’s and over the years saw the buildings age but they were always well maintained and deserving of the 4 star classification. But this is no longer the case and sadly there is little reason for us to return. It is very sad and disappointing after having stayed at the Ridge Tahoe so many times in the past. It used to be a special place we were excited to bring our family and friends to. No longer.

Room was good, had some maintenance issues, but they were pretty responsive considering it was New Years day. Customer service checking in was ok, will get a timeshare sales pitch. otherwise - this is NOT a ski-in/out place. you will have to take a shuttle service for the Stagecoach or Boulder lodge. We just drove down and parked at Boulder lodge but the shuttle service seemed decent. there's no monorail/gondola to the slopes, so be aware of that.
