"Short story: Would definitely return. Stayed here late Sept 2026. We had a great stay. The staff were always very pleasant. We stayed in a room with the "lake view" and the view was very nice. Our room was renovated but heard some have not been completed yet so maybe ask for a "new" room when booking or checking in. The hotel is just a short walk to the main street in Lake Placid. We enjoyed being able to walk to dinner and shops. Parking along the main street can be tough when it is busy and being able to walk from the hotel was very convenient. The hotel also sits up on a hill overlooking Mirror Lake and the town which provided great views particularly with the Fall colors . We ate at the hotels main restaurant one night and the food was good and the menu had a variety of options. The other restaurant used during breakfast was also decent. We had the buffet each time but the a-la carte menu looked good also. Breakfast isn't included in with the room."
