Pretty disappointed with my overall stay at the lake house. The pictures looked way more enticing whereas when we got there our room seemed outdated. You could tell they painted over the walls with some hideous glossy finished paint, the table on our porch was rusted , and the bathroom was small and cramped. Although they call themselves a resort, I think I would’ve been better off saving my money and staying at a holiday inn. Be cautious of additional hidden fees and expect creepy “The Shining” vibes. Giving 2-stars because the room service was very kind and amenities were good.

Location and view were excellent. The room was large with a large outdoor balcony, however, the bathroom was quite small. Plenty of free parking on site. Nice bar and lounge area for families. On the negative side, the mattress was very uncomfortable. The mattress bowed in the center, causing you constantly roll toward the middle of the bed. Only one lamp out of three worked. The shower did not appear to be cleaned prior to our arrival. There was mold all over the shower tile as well as many hairs. We asked the manager to have our shower cleaned. They did address the issue immediately, however, after housekeeping left, the mold and the hairs were still there and the shower did not appear to be cleaned.

This property had a very cool vibe. It was like an old lodge but had been restored so it felt like a more modern hotel. The lounge area near the main lobby was so cozy and had great views of the lake. The pool and lake access to the sister hotels across the street and by the lake was also a very nice perk. My husband and I have stayed in Lake Placid many times and I think this was our favorite stay so far. The only thing that disappointed me a little bit was the fact that our hotel room didn't look like the photos that are shown on the facilities site. It was not quite as updated as I had expected. All that aside, our room was still very clean and comfortable and I was very happy with my stay.

Stayed here twice already, mostly because of the included water activities, not to mention the room with balcony overlooking mirror lake. The location is perfect, as it is centrally located in town. We aptly refer to it as "Our Lake House". Can't wait to stay here again!

It’s a nice property. However there were kids yelling and running down the halls all hours of the day and night. No exhaust fans in the bathrooms. Also there was construction on the weekend ?? Having to walk across the street to check in is not clearly stated and the lines were long to check in. Limited parking due to construction trailers and vehicles. I am not sure I would stay there again.

Great place to stay in Lake Placid Region: This Resort is one of three sister hotels in the area that offer everything one could desire on premises. Furthermore, the staff and facilities are wonderful, and made our stay a great memory of the Lake Placid area.

Intimate hotel w/great staff, awesome lake views

I was happy that we got a room with balcony as we requested. They cannot guarantee it until we got there, so was a little anxious that we might not get one, which would have put a damper on our vacation. The balcony was big and had awesome lake views, even from across the street. Room has fridge and coffeemaker. You can request for microwave if they have any left. The bathroom is a little small, and the sink was really low. The front desk staff were really helpful and friendly. They also text us to check if we need anything. So thru out our stay we just text if we have any issues. Best of all, this hotel has lots of amenities - SUP, kayaks, paddleboat, pool. We were having so much fun that we didn't want to leave!

Perfect spot for weekend get away

My fiancé and I wanted to spend New Year's Day in lake placid and the lake house was the perfect spot! We were greated with champagne and received great dining recommendations from Adam who checked us in. Our room had a great view of the lake and the hotel is an excellent location for walking up and down Main Street. We loved the modern decor of the hotel and enjoyed sitting by the fireplace in the main lounge area.

Great hotel across from Mirror Lake.

Pros: Location.
Cons: Light wattage in room needs to be brighter.
Location: Many shops, restaurants, and boating. A few miles away visited Olympic sites and Whiteface Mountain.
Great location for shops, restaurants and lake recreation. Arrived at 2pm and asked if we could park before check in. Desk clerk said room was ready and we could check in! Clean and updated room.
