This was the WORST hotel experience of my life!!!! Upon arrival I was met by a gentleman who was more interested in selling me his products then greeting me. His products were amazing but his customer service skills were horrible. I arrived in the room and it's DISGUSTING. Everything was questionable. I was killing bugs and spiders. The window was cracked. The furniture was falling apart the headboard all the leather was peeled off. The room was Dusty. I had to go out and spend unnecessary money on Lysol, Raid, and disinfectant wipes. I called and asked for another room I was told that they were booked to capacity. WHICH WAS A CLEAR LIE because the parking lot was empty. The people in the lobby are very sketchy obvious drug users. The person in the room behind me did not go to sleep at all kept us up all night. The previous room holder set a 6:00 a.m. alarm that was not undone. So after finally falling asleep I was woken up by that and the pool had all kind of wildlife in it and was black. Curb appeal was horrible.

I loved the location. Plenty of restaurants and close to Avery island. Great little pool. Beds were Comfortable and I slept soundly. Carpet was soaked in front of refrigerator and room had a smell to it. Staff offered to move me, but I had already settled in and it was bearable. Lock on door was broken. I know this is petty, but the waffle maker was broken( I was looking forward to some.) pet policy- I don’t know what it is, but two mornings I woke to a dog(s) barking two doors down. No- one wants to be wakened by dogs barking on vacation. Beds were made but sheets were not changed- not sure if I was supposed to leave a note for that. I would come back, but I would check out the room first

Thank you for sharing your stay experience with us. I am pleased that most of your stay was good. I do apologize for the waffle baker being out of order, it was repaired this morning. Whenever staying at a Pet Friendly hotel and you are disturbed, please do not hesitate to contact the front desk so that we can contact the owners to come to take care of their barking dogs, that is a stipulation in the Pet Agreement at check in. Normally if you want your sheets changed they have a change linen sign to be put on the bed. I am sorry that we did not do that for you. Thanks again & have a great week!

Charles at check in was wonderful. Elevator smelled like old locker room. Sheets had hair. Bathroom floor corners not clean. Coffee had grounds in it. Waffles; no syrup.

Great location, convenient for visiting Avery Island, etc

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
I was impressed with the layout of the lobby, and the completeness of the in-house facilities. The staff were engaging and offered great suggestions for dinner, which we would not have known otherwise. Plenty of standard interstate franchise restaurants and fast-food places available, but they steered us to a real local delight. The manager even helped with an overseas fax that helped us out significantly. We'll be back.
