The room was cramped but clean and had a view. The hotel is one block off the main street, so is one convenient to shopping, although it was a little difficult to find when we arrived. There is a lounge bar on-site which was great to unwind after a long day. There are an onsen and a laundry on-site. and

LOVED IT!! My family said we will go back to Kyoto just to stay at this hotel again. Our bedroom had 4 beds. And a luxurious bathroom! Token for free drink for every night you stay was also amazing. Our kids did not drink anything so my husband and I drank 8 beers!

I loved the location. As soon we step out of the hotel we were in the middle of Nishiki Market and all the amazing food this place had to offer. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They even help me retrieve an item that I had left in Osaka. They were able to have it delivered to the hotel in one day. What was tricky about this location was finding the entrance upon arrival. The entrance is in an alley and not in the Main Street, which was confusing at first. But not a major inconvenience.

If you like to have a clean stay I do not recommend this hotel. Upon entering the room, I noticed there were stains on every wall, extremely heavy dust accumulation on the bathroom vents, and the shower had yellow stains on the floor. I even had to wipe down the table because there was left over stains. Despite the unhygienic nature of the rooms, the staff were very accommodating and pleasant. Upon alerting and showing the staff, the room, they relocated me to another room and apologized profusely.

The property was great. One recommendation i have for safety is to put nonslip matts in the bathtub. You have to be really careful getting out so as not to slip since the tub is super slippery. Other than that everything was great. The location so good since the shops, good and stores were all next to us.
