"It's definitely a budget hotel"
It's cute and quant, but a no frills kind of place. There is a restaurant on the beach which is nice and tasty, but is a bit pricey. We referred to the hotel as the "motel 6 of Hawaii" If you want a bargin in Kauaii, this is your place. If you want luxury look to the Marriott.

"Special experience "
I have to be honest when we first arrived at the Waimea plantation I was thrilled when I saw the gorgeous reception area. When I got to our 2 bedroom oceanfront cottage I was honestly a little disappointed as the cottage looked nothing like the photos I had seen. We returned to the reception and explained that we were disappointed with the cottage and they graciously upgraded us to the 3 bedroom ocean front directors cottage which was perfect! The cottage isn't fancy, but so charming and a very special was to explore the west side of Kauai.

"wonderful honeymoon!"
I was really happy with everything.... though we did upgrade to ocean side because the street/ Safeway side ("mountain view") was not pleasant or mountainous. Grills, hot tubs, pool were great and the room and kitchen outstanding.  Subzero fridge!

"Nice hotel close to the beach"
Ocean view room was amazing. Could be loud on lanai, depending on neighbors. Otherwise, interior walls were thick enough.

"This was a great Vacation"
The only issue was we were delayed one day in San Francisco due to the airport shutting down a runway, after a 2 hour delay we missed the connecting flight to Kauai. We had to pay over $100.00 for a room by the SF Airport. We had to call the Kauai Beach Resort to keep the rooms and the rental car to ensure we still had one. The Hotel did a great job in helping us, the Manager provide a free room upgrade. Then as expected, Kauai was a great place to visit, and it turned out being a great vacation for 5 people. I spend more due to the flight issue on January 2nd.

"One night in Kauai"
Room had nice view over pool to ocean . 2-min stroll to ocean with beautiful man-made lagoon. Hotel is being refurbished. Restaurant staff was so slow . Bartenders very good. Good location to Kapaa. Definitely eat at Monico's Tacqueria. Really good.

It was a nice place to stay. We did request to be on the top floor but the request was denied. We had two nights of quiet and then the elephant family occupied the roon above us and there was noise from morning to night. They walked like they had lead boots on and talked very loud. They also took showers at all hours of the night. The walls are very thin. One bad aspec of the property.

"better than expected"
Rooms were great - we hade a "garden view" condo, with two bedrooms, living room with pullout couch, and kitchen. Went with 3 adults, 2 kids. Our view was of the pool which was nice, and could see part of the ocean. Kitchen had fridge, microwave, oven, can opener, silverware/settings. There was a washer/dryer. Main bedroom had nice big bathroom with big shower. The shower head though was pretty small for the size of the shower. Air conditioning units in both bedrooms worked well, but main living room did get somewhat warm. There were plenty of warning about the ongoing construction, but this had little to no impact on our vacation. There was not excessive noise (but we were a bit away from main building under construction). There were occasional workers doing odd jobs around our building. The pool was great for the kids, very large, not deep, beach sand around it. Don't count on any privacy in the hot tub though, kids just go in that too. Wifi internet included, but had to enter a long username and password everytime you logged on which became annoying. Poolside grill ok. Overall very pleased and room much nicer than we expected. Would definitely go again.

"Nice hotel on the beach."
We usually stay at Marriott and liked this Courtyard. Nice location on the beach and close walk to town. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Leilani at the front desk who gave us lots of information on where to eat and snorkel. Pool and bar area might be too noisy for some guests, especially late at night but overall we had a great experience.
