I arrived around 11 AM and requested an early check-in but was denied by Shanae, who was very impolite and informed me the earliest check-in would be at 1 PM. I waited as the only guest in the lobby until after 1 PM. Then an American guest walked in and was immediately checked in and given a room while I was still waiting. When I asked why she was allowed to check in before me, I was met with attitude.
Throughout my entire four-night stay, I consistently encountered staff with poor attitudes. The only time I was acknowledged was on the second day at breakfast—after I tipped both waitresses, who then treated me more pleasantly the following morning. It seems tipping is the only way to receive courteous service here.
I want to thank Shoshana and one of the housekeepers, who were the only staff members that offered genuinely good service and made me feel welcome.
The room was spacious and the AC worked well, but there was hardly any hot water. The area is not suitable for walking at night. This hotel has potential as a budget-friendly option if they improve their customer service, but based on my experience, I doubt I will return.
