Very well taken care of property, obviously well cared for and maintained. Our room was huge. The pool was also clear and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only fault I can find is that the breakfast wasn’t very good. Not due to poor preparation or care, I just think the food itself was low quality. One of the better hotels I’ve been in, might be the best hotel in Keystone

Everything about the room was awesome. The suite was very spacious, fireplace, 2 TV's, wet bar, quiet, comfortable bed, large clean bathroom, front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. We couldn't have asked for more

Misleading description; really a datedmotel room

Description on Hotels.com is very misleading- only shows the suite rooms, but our room was a very dated motel-style room on the wing of the property. I avoid motels because they are noisy and less secure. Breakfast was very limited and the same every day. Today they ran out of oatmeal and bananas - unbelievable. Bars of soap were the smallest I've ever seen. The only positives were that the room was spacious and clean, and the location is good. There are many other properties at a similar price point in Keystone which would be a better choice.

The price for the room is too high for what it is. We stayed in a room the night before for $67.00 and it was x10 better. I was shocked to see the room knowing I paid over $200.00 for one night. I am sure it being Sturgess time did not help.

Rushmore: A Stay With Ups and Downs (Literally)

Our stay at Rushmore Express started with a bit of confusion—the door handle was installed upside down, so both we and our neighbors initially thought our key cards weren’t working. After two trips to the lobby for reprogramming, staff finally informed us to push up on the handle instead of down. The room’s carpet appeared dirty and didn’t feel sanitary enough for walking barefoot. The bathroom was quite small, and the refrigerator was only a mini size. Additionally, the TV volume was very low, even when turned all the way up, making it difficult to hear. Overall, the stay was functional but fell short of expectations.

The property is convenientlly located to Mt. Rushmore and within walking distance to the Keystone shopping area. The staff were all friendly adn the continental breakfast was pretty good. Our party had multiple rooms and there was a BIG difference between the interior room and the outside room we had. The outside room was dated and not nearly as 'clean' as the inside room. If we were basing the review on the outside room it would be a 2 out of 5 and the inside room gets a 4 out of 5. Otherwise the property was fine for our needs during the visit.
