Being near the Riverside Park and downtown restaurants was great and the staff are lovely. But, the state of the room was pretty unpleasant. Stained sheets, dark bathrooms, with rusty fixtures, curtains that didn’t fit the window, nasty chairs, tiles and chipped and peeling paint. The city views rooms are also right by the train tracks and it’s so disturbingly loud they have a white machine in the room and offer ear plugs. Yikes. 😬

What can I say about this property…. It’s located right across from a train/rail yard. If you don’t stay riverside you will listen to trains banging and crashing all night and a train bell at the crossing next to the hotel dinging all night. Also, you can expect the hotel to shake hard from the heavy trains going by all night. I barely slept for 2 nights and when I talked to the front desk they simply played dumb about it, telling me that’s weird it was loud. When I checked out the front desk asked me if I tried the white noise machine to drown out the noise. This was a bad experience with no help from the staff. The good thing is it has a Moxies and Shark Club attached so easy to grab good food. Unfortunately it’s not enough to make me want to ever stay there again.
