Turkish bath that we were rudely kicked out of (even though we checked in advance) since there was suddenly a private massage session. The Pera Palace Hotel Istanbul does not need presentation. It has its own reputation gained during many years since 1892. Nothing was different than expected. An excellent attention all the time by the staff. Very professional staff, taking care of you at any time. Hotel condition has been kept impeccable despite its age. Rooms are excellent, bathroom working perfectly, etc. The breakfast has a huge variety of products, and with a high quality. There is a taxi agency very close to the hotel, where you can take a taxi safely, and secure. Pera Palace is an unforgettable experience for all. If you are in Istanbul, you must be there at least two nights. I don't mention names because all the staff deserves a high recognition equally. Thanks guys at Pera Palace Istanbul, the best of the best. Worthy the price you pay.

The Pera Palace is a ten out of ten. The staff is super friendly. I loved the rose tea ant check-in. Emma, the concierge, was so friendly and showed me to my room. We took the antique elevator. I enjoyed that very much. The room felt like home with nicely framed and paintings, graceful furniture, heavy curtains and an antique rug. The bedding was soft with an embroidered pillow case and the bed was quite comfortable. I liked the turn down service in the early evening. A friendly fellow would knock on the door and hand me chocolates. There were some very nice healthy dried fruit snacks and small pastries in the room. The place is part museum and the cafes and parlors were superb. I now have some very fond memories of Istanbul. Tekim at check out did a perfect job and the bellman Kemal was very helpful.

We loved our stay at the Pera Palace hotel. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like VIPs. The hotel team quickly gathered our bags and we didn't touch them until they were safely deposited in our room. The front desk staff was informative about amenities and breakfast offerings, and we were given rose tea to drink while they checked us in. We were taken up to our room in the historic elevator since it was our first time staying in the hotel-such a neat feature. Our room was upgraded to the Greta Garbo suite (which was lovely). Water pressure and temp were excellent, which we had not experienced at other hotels during this trip, so that was a massive plus. We made use of the jacuzzi, steam room, and dry sauna, which were clean and quiet. We also ate in the parlor area after a long day of touring the city, and in the restaurant as well. All the meals we had were excellent and the service was over the top amazing- the staff recognized us and were friendly every time they saw us in and out of the restaurant. All the staff speak English, and they have a neat gift shop and museum features that we also perused, including the historic Ataturk suite- a lovely exhibition. The hotel is located an easy cab ride from most of the signature attractions of Istanbul, and was close to food and shopping. Shoutout to Ahmet, Esma, Umut, Ergün, Honde, Selim, and the entire team who made us smile (thanks also to housekeeping for the delightful chocolates)! Looking forward to next time!

I had one unpleasant experience at the Pera Palace. A professional colleague came to welcome me when I arrived at the hotel. After the bellman had been tipped and it was time for him to go, he continued to stand in the doorframe treating my professional colleague as if she was a prostitute. Through his body language, it made it clear she needed to leave. She became embarassed and left. Totally unacceptable. Your bellman should not be the morality police.

What a wonderful historic place. The staff was very warming and welcoming from start to end. Location couldn’t be any better for both walking around and sightseeing. Drinks were amazing in the speakeasy style bar and big shout out to the bar staff as they were the BEST! Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Beautiful hotel, good to great service BUT if they’re having a function in their dining area which is in the center part of the building, surrounded by the guest rooms avoid getting the lower floors. I had room 116, one floor above the area. The noise is much too loud to sleep. I had to endure a wedding my first night and another event my 3rd night. Ear plugs do not block out the noise. The staff said maybe they could move me higher tomorrow morning. If you are a late night person, go for it.
