The staff was incredibly helpful. More than that really. They arranged all of my airport transport. They booked and transported us to dinner , a full day tour of Istanbul and a Turkish bath. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Our room was clean. The view is incredible.

If you don’t have an ocean view room, you will either have a view if a building or a view of a building that looks as if it was bombed. Hotel cleanliness is 5 out of 10 That’s my main complaint Customer service was good and they were helpful to address any matters.

Pera Bosphorus Hotel, Istanbul

I would not recommend this hotel despite its good location. Cons: Upon arrival, neither WiFi nor phone lines were working. Breakfast on the rooftop is chaotic — it’s crowded with non-guests who come for the view, so expect long waits and no relaxing start to your day. When I asked for an iron, they didn’t have one. After 24 hours of follow-ups, they said they had lent their irons to other hotels nearby, clearly to push their paid ironing service. The rooftop restaurant doesn’t serve alcohol, only shisha — so you’ll be stuck eating while surrounded by heavy smoke. At 3 AM, when checking out, the doorman insisted on calling their airport taxi, which cost me 400 TL extra because the meter was already running. Staff seemed overworked and poorly trained. No sense of hospitality — never heard a single “welcome” or “enjoy your stay.” Pros: The A/C worked well. Free bottled water. Prime location. In short: This place feels more like a busy rooftop restaurant with some rooms underneath, rather than a professional hotel.

Wir sind sehr enttäuscht von dem Hotel. Zunächst waren die Sanitäranlagen nicht hygienisch bzw. nicht ordnungsgemäß gereinigt. Des Weiteren waren die Nächte zum Schlafen nicht möglich. Die Geräuschkulisse war so hoch sodass wir unangenehme Geräusche aus dem Nebenzimmer mitbekommen haben. Dabei handelte es sich um eine Dame die eingeladen wurde. Die Wände waren so dünn, sodass wir Verhandlungen mitbekommen haben. Die Zimmer an sich sind so klein, indem man kaum stehen kann. Am nächsten Morgen haben wir uns schnell einen neuen Hotel aufgesucht und wollten nur noch weg. Ich kann es nicht empfehlen.
