The IATA code for Alitalia is AZ. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) appoints all airlines a two-character code to standardize and simplify communications and identification.

You’ll find a code written in your itinerary, which will be emailed to you when you’ve completed your booking. Just keep your eyes peeled for the IATA airline code (which contains a couple of letters and a single digit) followed by a few other numbers — your flight number.
