I did not like that there wasn’t any bath towels, bath mat, etc in the bathroom. The maintenance man came to room, an hour or so, after I gotten settled in; I was disturbed as I hadn’t requested his service. I was informed by the front desk, the “he was responding to a note that was left on yesterday by the other crew.” I found that unacceptable when he had all day to repair whatever, as well as when I checked into my room and reported the refrigerator was not working, I was told, “they are gone for the day, I’ll change your room.”

Everything was quite good however, and it might be isolated to one room but, the cable TV was very sub-standard. Otherwise, it was quite nice.

You get what you pay for

This hotel is close to the airport and major roadways. The staff were friendly. The lobby was clean. I had previously read the other reviews so to be safe I brought a large blanket. I'm glad I did. When I removed the coverlet over the comforter the comforter had large stains on it. The sheets and pillows were clean though and I slept fine with my blanket. Everything else was fine in the room only the wifi was slow.

Appalling

Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
Hard to find--tucked in behind a Best Western, with a small black sign on the street. Wish I never found it. The room was disgusting, filthy carpet, stained chair. Cheaply built, thin walls, so that every step in the hall or the room above was heard. the sink would not drain--the stopper was stuck in the drain; the pipe below the counter appeared to have a hole in it, covered with a piece of duct tape. I requested a receipt by email but the receptionist appeared to be so out of it, that I asked for a hard copy--and was given the receipt for a different guest. STAY AWAY.

The Hotel

Pros: Close to airport
Cons: Customer service, smell, cleanliness, their rooms, and breakfast (I saw but walk away).
My room was not ready but I was sent to the third floor as though it was. I graciously returned with all my luggage to the front desk. The person at the front desk just look at me. So said I would go get something to eat and return. Two hours later I returned to the front desk. I was sent to the room again the the bed had been made but the linen seemed to be the same that was used by the previous guess. The rest of the room was not done it seemed. I returned with my luggage again to the front desk. I was finally given another room on the third floor. The bed was made the room seemed to be ready but there were no towels. I called the front desk and informed them there were no towels in the room. They said they would send some up but it never happened. I need to be somewhere in two hours, I had just got off a plane, I needed to shower but had not towels. When left to make my appointment I told the front desk (person) that I never received any towels. They said it would taken care of but it never happen. Around ten o'clock that night I went to the front desk got some towels and went to my room. And they really didn't seem to care.

Country Inn Houston

Country Inns have never disappointed me in the past. This one however was just so-so. Grumpy front desk staff that hung up on me 2 times on the phone, worn out hotel and wet ceiling damage in the bathroom. This is one Country Inn that I will not visit again.
