"Perfect location in Central. "
The beds are hard as a rock. If you are an American, you will think you are sleeping on the floor with a comforter as a mattress. The pillows are thin. The location is great. The lobby of the hotel is very comfortable. The AC is cold. The showers are hot with good pressure. The rooms do get very steamy after a shower, and as a consequence the rooms get VERY wet and stay wet. The rooms are very small, but you know that going in. If the beds were just firm, this would be a perfect hotel for a budget traveler. By the way, I asked for a softer mattress. The staff said all the mattresses were the same.

"Comfortable and great location "
The hotel was a little difficult to find when arriving in Hong Kong. There were no clear directions on how to get there. The area is somewhat congested and difficult to navigate if you have never been to Hong Kong before. Otherwise I have no complaints. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to a metro. It's in a great location with lots of food options in the area. The rooms were clean and modern. I recommend asking for a room on a higher level to get a better view. Typically above floor 20 is ideal. I enjoyed my stay here and recommend it. It's a great value.

"rooms have hard wood floors. minimalist decor. "
just returned from a 3 nights stay here at the ibis and had a relatively good experience. all rooms have hard wood floors, a small safe & refrigerator, 2 complimentary bottled waters, combo body/hair gel wash in shower & toothbrushes. the rooms are very minimalist, which i like. white duvets, sheets and pillows. we had a good experience with the staff, who were very accommodating and friendly. if you take the airport express train from the airport to the HK/Central station - there is a free shuttle bus that will deiver you straight to the ibis hotel. extremely convenient. when you leave, the same shuttle will take you back to HK/Central station, also free of charge. they come around every 15-20 minutes. there is a starbucks & small convenience store on the street level of the hotel, a restaurant on the 5th floor reception area, a small wash/fold store named sunshine laundry behind the hotel (on queens rd west, 5lbs of clothes will cost approx $10 or less), a chain pharmacy store (like a walgreens or CVS). the closest MTR station is sai yin pun, about 5 mins walk to the hotel. we had an issue with spotting some 'bugs' on one of the bed duvets. we checked the mattress seams on both beds and it was clear. it may have been brought in by other guests and didn't get washed out. it was only on the duvet. the hotel front desk manager & housekeeping mgr were very quick to handle our situation and moved us to another room right away. there was no hestitation.

Welcome to Hong Kong -- Asia's World City. Literally translated as ""fragrant harbor"", Hong Kong plays to the senses everywhere you go, whether you're looking out to sea from Victoria Peak or bargaining with a vendor in Kowloon. The skyscrapers form the city's beautiful face, but there's more to the story than just glistening glass and rough concrete. An entirely unique cultural experience awaits: all you have to do is dive in.

Out and About in Hong Kong

Even after you've explored the Mai Po Nature Reserve, seen the Tian Tan Buddha, visited the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, strolled through the Man Mo Temple, and reflected at the Chi Lun Nunnery, Hong Kong still has more to offer. The abundance of luxurious hotels in Hong Kong is reason enough alone to stay the night, and spots like the Temple Street Night Market and Happy Valley Racecourse always keep you coming back. The Hong Kong Park intrigues, certainly, and the laid-back seaside area of Tai O offers a break from the busy streets. If you want to shop, you have plenty of options, from Festival Walk in Kowloon to Times Square in Causeway Bay. Simply put, you won't have trouble finding something to do here, even if you book one of the cheap hotels in Hong Kong and aimlessly walk outside.

    Eating and Drinking

Hong Kong is a culinary powerhouse, and that starts with the local Cantonese cuisine. From Vietnamese cuisine to Mexican fare, it's all here, and it's all done well. Many of the hotels in Hong Kong also have fine restaurants and bars. When it comes time to party, visit areas like Lan Kwai Fong, Wan Chai, and certain pockets of Kowloon for British-style pubs, karaoke, clubs and more.

Hong Kong simply wows, and with so much to do, you should search early for the best Hong Kong hotel deals. From quaint hotels near Charter Garden to spacious hotels for business in Hong Kong, you'll find it all on Travelocity.
