We booked this property since it was close to Hershey Park and the online images looked nice but they are definitely old photos. We waited an hour and a half to check in because there was literally no one working in the entire hotel. Howard Johnson was no help when I called them. A staff member finally pulled up at 3pm to check us in. Also the breakfast was not on the go breakfast it was oatmeal packets, Raisin Bran, and Frosted Flakes. Will never return!

If this was a continental breakfast there was 2 cereals, coffee, juice, bagels w cr ch only no butter that’s all nothing else My husband went to get coffee @ 9:15 the guy said he dumped it out there was no more?? It’s still breakfast? The room was not worth the price, I booked this room in April & it was the same price w Expedia on the day we arrived, it should have been cheaper in April booking it earlier! The room I’d say was worth $129/night. The only good part it was close to things that’s all

I would have thought being part of the Wyndham family would have elevated the Howard Johnson property. While staff was very nice, both at the front desk and restaurant, the property itself needs help. Our non-smoking room had an unpleasant odor upon entrance and the hallway smelled of smoke. The lack or building security was shocking- anyone could access the hotel as doors did include the same technology as entering your room (I.e. using room card). The “business center” was a poorly painted room that didn’t even include a chair. Do better HoJo!

No Food

The hotel was clean. It advertises a breakfast but does NOT provide one. There were two bins of cold cereal and black coffee. No milk, juice, fruit, danish, sugar... Just dry cold cereal and black coffee. This was in the middle of it's open for eating hours. It was the cheapest hotel but cost us more when you have to add in the cost of going out to eat. I would not stay there again.

Wouldn’t recommend

This hotel is old and dated. There would be a moldy smell every time the HVAC turned on. Not at all worth the price. The front desk attendant wasn’t helpful when we complained about smell (she cleaned the filters and said problem solved-it didn’t change anything). The only good thing was that it appeared to be decently clean in the room. All furniture is dated including a low def TV. Shower floor looked slightly browned with age. Doors from outside remain unlocked 24 hours.

It was scary!

Desolate, dingy, and decrepit. We forfeited our non refundable stay within 15 minutes after checking in. We made the reservation last minute due to a change in road trip plans. We understood that it wasn’t going to be the Four Seasons but figured that it would be rather busy since it was a holiday week and families would be heading to Hershey Park the next day. We pulled up to the parking lot after 11pm and we were the only car in the lot. The outside rooms all looked abandoned and we should have taken that as a sign and left. However we checked in and got assigned a room in the inside building which somehow seemed safer. The room door was so cheap feeling and the locks were jiggly and not secure. I thought I could brave it out but then we noticed the bed felt… not dry. And the furniture was stained, rusty and in disrepair. I contacted hotels.com to see if I could get a refund and they called the front desk on my behalf but said they didn’t answer and suggested I ask the front desk for a refund. Honestly flight or fight kicked in and we just threw our suitcases in the car and got the hell out of there. We went to Tru by Hilton and had a comfortable, clean stay. I wish I took the one star reviews seriously and never booked it. Trust me; stay away.

Only If You Are Desperate

It’s a terrible little motel. If you are going to a concert and just sleeping there it’s passable. The price is ridiculous. The worst though was the indifferent and borderline rude staff.
