Escape Inn Hershey

"The Escape Inn Hershey is an excellent stay and a great value. From a warm and professional greeting by Prakash at the front desk upon arrival, to being given exactly the location of room I asked for, check-in was perfect. The room was immaculately clean, linens and towels fresh, the refrigerator kept things cold, the bathroom and sink/vanity area felt newly upgraded and there was plenty of hot water with strong water pressure. The room is extremely well stocked for such a humble lodging with plenty of paper goods, towels, soaps, etc. We were in a second floor end unit and it was very quiet. Air-conditioning was strong and quiet as well. Plenty of lights, outlets, and USB ports around the room. The desk chair was the only thing in the room that had seen better days. The hotel is older but it feels well maintained, well managed, safe, and the staff professional and kind. Plenty of free parking. The location is perfect with restaurants, Hershey's parks, and the town of Hershey nearby. Our room was serviced and provided with fresh towels daily. Absolutely would recommend and will stay here again as the chain hotels in the Hershey area are often so mediocre and overpriced. I found the Escape Inn room cleaner and fresher than many of the chain hotels in the Harrisburg/Hershey area despite those charging triple the rate per night of this establishment. Oh, and if you have a chance, try the breakfast at the nearby Cocoa Diner, you will not be disappointed!"

Simmons Motel

"The Simmons Motel is quite different than any other and in a very good way. The motel is still family owned after over 60 years and the staff are always friendly, warm and helpful. The motel is right in downtown Hershey and so close to Hershey Park you can see the roller coasters from the motel. The property consists of 3 buildings, one is the main building where the office is located, there is another building that has rooms and apartments and the 3rd building is an entire house that you can reserve. This place is not the common cookie cutter, copy and paste of every chain that you are familiar with. Each and every room has it's on character with beautiful finishings and decor of the past and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. I can say without a doubt this is my favorite place to stay in Hershey."
