Perfect 10!!! Everything about this place and its location and surrounding area is a perfect 10! In house Onsen is amazing and the staff are very very very helpful and accomodating. Our japanese style room was very pretty and comfortable.

Truly a Japanese resort hotel with a proper outdoor onsen and all the trimmings that go with it. Be aware that they need to see the passport of everyone staying there. Why that is the case I don’t know. It’s an old hotel but it s clearly evident that every equipment and furniture have been updated to keep with the times. Try to visit the hotel before weather gets too cold to really take in the view of the. Grand colors of the forest. Space was good. Mattress was hard but soft enough to be comfortable. Dining options were good (actually better than the restaurants around the area) and the proximity to the train and bus station is great.

This hotel is although old but it is very nice. The surrounding is serene & beautiful. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The only slight oversight was when the housekeeper missed out on a few minor details such as not taking away dirty cups & used glasses, not replacing the same number of towels. Otherwise, it was a perfect stay.

It is a hotel with a long history. Staff are really friendly and take care of the property and guests well. Location is a big plus, just right next to the train station, bus stops and shopping area.

Acceptable services

Near Hakone Yumoto station. Conveniently connected via a bridge over a stream. Room size and amenities are reasonable. English speaking front desk. Eateries and shops are within walking distance but they closed quite early by 7ish. Breakfast quite a good spread of western and Japanese cuisine. But need to take queue number as the restaurant capacity is small. There is a relaxation lounge with free tea and coffee and With massage chairs. Overall : good
