Family Vacation

The location of the property was perfect. The Beach was very nice as was the pool area. I feel, for the cost of this unit, we should have been supplied with more than the roll of toilet paper that was on the holder. Also one dishwasher pod and a partial roll of paper towels… not a big deal, but with a family of 5 adults and 3 children (5 and under) this would have been nice. The kitchen floor was very dirty and I can’t believe it had been mopped after the last guests. I had on new white socks and they were brown on the bottom within an hour of our arrival. These may be little things I’m bringing up, but for the amount of money I paid for a 4 night stay, it would have been nice to have had the Basic Daily needs provided. Also, my son repaired the door lock as it was coming off the door and also the door to the trashcan cabinet in the kitchen that came off when we opened it.

Island Winds West 180

Loved the place. Owners keep a perfect assortment of kitchen supplies. TVs on Dish network. Excellent internet. Beachball property management were awesome anytime we needed something. One tiny correction to make it 5 stars, need to replace the queen mattress in the back bedroom (worn out). I have a lot of confidence the owners and property managers will take care of that.

Wonderful place with Amazing Location

Check in to the property was easy and simple. The code came in an email. There was an issue with the door lock (it was missing a number that was part of our code), but we were able to get in and the maintenance department was there to replace the lock by the time we unpacked. There were shopping carts and luggage carts to help carry things up. The size of the condo was great for our family of 5. We could have fit a few more people if necessary. There were a few things that the condo could have used. There was a washer and dryer, but no laundry basket. The unit also did not have a cutting board, or grilling utensils. The toaster was also small for a larger unit like this one. All of the pans were left pretty greasy and with a fill on top of them. The property could use a deep cleaning, and a few minor updates. The throw pillows were beat down and pulled, and the bed pillows and bedding had some stains. Overall I would stay here again, as all of the issues we had were minor, and the view and sound of the ocean can make you forget almost anything. The Italian restaurant across the street was great, and also close proximity to the hangout.

Mold on ceiling

We noticed mold along the hallway by the ceiling. We had a child staying with us that has severe asthma and can’t be anywhere near mold. We asked to be moved, but they couldn’t put us in another property that would fit everyone in our party. So they had someone come out and “ clean” it, but it was still there. We had to take my friends son to stay with family an hour away because he could stay there. We were told we would get refunded a nights stay for the inconvenience, but this never happened. If you don’t mind staying somewhere that has mold and smells musty, this is the place for you. They told us everywhere in south Alabama has mold and mildew due to the humidity, but I’ve stayed multiple places in this area and this has never been an issue. I would not recommend this place to stay.

If we had filled every bed, we all couldn’t fit. Washer and dryer was tiny. No storage or pantry for food. No communication about how to get a parking pass. Asked another resident and then was charged tax for the parking pass. Is that even legal? Trash chute was full.

Great location

We wanted a rental where we could walk right out and be on the beach. This was perfect for that! We overlooked the pool which I was worried about because of the noise. However, with the patio doors closed, you couldn't hear anything! I also loved the little details. We found beach chairs in the closets and there were more than enough extra blankets and pillows. Overall, this was one of the best rentals we have ever had.

We loved every aspect of this stay… the condo was cute and lots of space. Convenient to everything . Only reason for a 4 rating is all of the beds are kind of hard. But all in all great property! will stay at this property again!

Great location

The property is right on the beach which was great. A lot of things to do in walking distances. The only thing that was not a plus is the parking. You can only have two cars. My family meets at gulf shores and we need four parking spots. There was no overflow parking. Other than that is was wonderful.
