Rooms in older part of hotel are very spacious.

Pros: Staff, size of room, location. Restaurant also is excellent. Beautiful hotel.
Cons: Housekeeping needs to be consistent when restocking items for rooms such as towels, etc.
Location: Perfect location and easy to walk to Cathedral and historic center of town. Mercado San Juan de Dios is also walking distance.
Great location and staff is very friendly. Hotel is older which fits it with historic area.

Good hotel for travel

Really enjoyed the big size of the rooms. Its location is awesome for tourism however to get there was a little hectic due to the downtown traffic. Once you're there it is great!

Very nice Hotel

Pros: The price was good, and the location was excellent! Felt very safe walking around to all the major tourist attractions.
Location: Walking distance to all the major historical sites.
The staff was extremely helpful. Our room had a problem with the air and they immediately addressed it, by moving us to another room. We had to catch the shuttle to the airport before the restaurant open and they made us a lunch box to take with us! The breakfast buffet was very good. Despite all the construction been done in downtown, I would highly recommend this hotel!

Would stay here again

Located in central historic district so if you like cathedrals and plazas there are many within a few blocks. Valet parking was free, internet free, water and coffee in rooms free--I like that they don't charge for every convenience. Staff was very courteous. Bar and restaurant seemed lifeless but there are many excellent local options.

Nice hotel very well situated

Pros: The staff is very friendly!
I traveled to Guadalajara during the Christmas holidays 2014 with my family (3 and 7 year old included) and we all enjoyed our stay at Hotel Morales. It is a beautiful historic hotel very well situated. Walking distance from many of the historical landmarks. Only thing I regret is not taking swimwear to enjoy the pool. The weather was beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful for a reasonable price!

I would definitely stay again and recommend this place to my family and friends.  About 3 blocks away from the cathedral, the government palace museum (free on Sundays), the plaza and artisan market.

Amazing location and Hotel enviornment was safe inviting

Pros: Close restaurants, free bottled water, free cable
I have stayed at the Hotel Morales before and despite the comments made of safety in Mexico, this Hotel made me feel safe and welcomed and this time I travelled as a single female. The staff is unbelievably polite and accomodating. The hotel always has someone in the lobby area to meet your needs. I would highly recomment this location to anyone travelling to Guadalajara for the first time or a repeated visitor. I know I have found my home away from home for future visits into this part of Mexico. Kudos to them for an amazing establishment. Maria from Missouri
