"We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel, which is bursting with character and history. The owner was lovely and incredibly attentive throughout our visit. The restaurant area is gorgeous and serves very good food, though it is on the pricier side. Breakfast was a highlight for the atmosphere alone, eating in that space genuinely felt like sitting in a castle, even if the actual food selection was a little limited.
For future travellers, it is worth noting that the location is a bit quiet. There are no restaurants or bars within walking distance, and the local boulangerie was closed midweek during our stay, so planning ahead for meals is a good idea.
Our room was lovely and the bathroom was nice, though it is worth mentioning that the layout felt more like a single large room rather than a traditional multi-room suite. The television was also on the smaller side and a bit tricky to see from the bed. Lastly, we happened to visit during a severe heatwave. While the air conditioning unit did its best and certainly made the room more comfortable than the outside temperature, it struggled to completely cool the space.
Overall, it is a wonderful, historic property with fantastic service, just with a few quirks to be mindful of depending on when you visit."
