Top Choice for Tigers Games

Atheneum is our top choice for our annual Tigers game. Everything is always fantastic. This year there was an apparent issue with the water, but we were notified upon check in and complimentary water was provided.

Disgusting worker at the front desk late at night. This gentleman basically scammed us into booking the wrong day. We proceed to try and get our room for the night and he smiles and snarks at us. We were all exhausted from a very long day and this person ruined the great day we were having. I’m expecting a full refund based off his attitude and the way he soured my time. We were stuck OUTSIDE of the hotel at 4am just simply trying to change a reservation to literally the day before because this gentleman said. I will be emailing about this too because it’s actually horrible that he is just left free to be in charge when he can barely handle his own emotions

Stay overall was enjoyable, however, we ordered room service for breakfast which came in carry out containers with plasticware in a paper bag. For the high price of room service, and caliber of hotel, I expect real plates and silverware.

Location is not great and in a rough spot of town. Construction casued major water issues which were not communicated to me prior to check in. Room felt very old (80's/90's) and was not particularly clean in the areas unseen like under the bed and behind the curtains or furniture.

Perfect 2-night stay for Tigers game.

We stayed for 2 nights, mainly to watch a Tigers game. It was in a perfect location, we parked our car on day 1 and walked everywhere. The hotel is nice, and the breakfast is delicious—one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had. The room was spacious, and the bed very comfortable. The only negative was the bathroom was a little outdated, but it was large and had a large jacuzzi tub.

Sweet suites!

The rooms are nice. The elevators give one pause that the rooms may not be nice but they are. The elevators need some work but who cares, really. The bi-level suite layout is really great, makes the room seem even more spacious.

Very clean, ton of room space, beautiful hotel, loved the location. Howeve, can also tell that the rooms were designed in 1990s with the bathroom. Could use updated new style shower. I would stay here again.
