This was the catfish of all hotel stays. If you are looking for the resort in the pictures, you won’t find it at this hotel. The rooms are from the 1920’s- completed with a clean line of mold on their shower curtains. Not to mention the toilet we had to keep fixing to make the water stop running. They have 1 restaurant at night that is only open 4 nights a week. The buffet is subpar. Mahi’s is a tiny shack open for lunch and was the only decent food. The staff was friendly. We tried to leave after night one but there were no openings at the 5 other resorts we attempted to book. Completely disappointed in the product we were sold vs what we actually got- not to mention for the money we paid.

Unfortunately I didn’t have the best experience at this hotel. The room that I initially checked into was an outdated room that needed to be renovated. The room looked completely different from the pictures online. I would have never selected this resort. if I saw the pictures in advance. Food could have been better. For it to be a Caribbean island the food was a 5/10. The chefs can do a better job! The food outside of the dining hall menu needs to be updated. The quality of the food needs to be better. More chicken in the quesadilla. It’s not supposed to be flat! The resort should also have a premium drink package available to clients like myself that prefer top shelf drinks. I shouldn’t have to pay extra at an all inclusive for topself liquor. Overall what saved my trip was the staff. But everything else needs improvement ASAP!!!!!!

Really enjoyed the trip but hard to ignore a few things…the hotel was overbooked so I was sent to a completely different hotel my first night. Was told I would have a room the next day by noon… it wasn’t until 5 pm the next day that I had a room. They upgraded us to all inclusive and the presidential suite which was great damage control, but still… I traveled 12 hours to a foreign country and had no room?! Maids took my bedsheets and didn’t have new ones until 7pm one night, hot/cold water didn’t work in shower and money was stolen out of a bag on the beach last day. My patience was tested here but I still had a great time in a beautiful location

The suite was bigger than most suites I have encountered. Pretty beaches and mountain scenery. I would consider Saint Lucia as an adventure island and nothing else. Adventures are usually bundled so pay attention to what they include in them. This hotel should not be included in the all inclusive filter, if the charges won’t be included when adding this filter. Usually when I filter by all inclusive it is understood that the resort is all inclusive and you don’t have to pay extra for that perk. However, in this case don’t waste your money on the all inclusive. There are only a few good things that they serve there. Most of the food is sitting out for a long time and tends to lose the flavor to it. They have fruity pies that end up being soggy by the time you even plan on eating them. It gets randomly loud there from the karaoke nights they have. The first night we came we couldn’t sleep. The bedding is super uncomfortable. Some staff members are very nice, while others are just absent-minded and don’t care. We ended up getting food out half of the time because the food wasn’t tasty at the hotel and the other half we purchased food there because other places were closed for holiday closures. There are times when you ask for something such as hot water for tea and it takes them forever to replenish it. I found a cockroach in our room one night. I wouldn’t consider this a 4 star hotel and there needs to be a lot of improvement in order for it to be ranked that way.

I had booked with apprehension after reading the negative reviews. But to my surprise this property and its rooms are so much better than some other Royalton properties we have been in. The food is very good and us being vegetarians we booked All-Inclusive so that we get decent options and were not disappointed one bit. The hotel is limited with fun or activity mmenties as in no tennis courts or pool table area etc but their private becah is spectacular but not sure if the Management is aware that their hotel property beach area gets encroached by private beach chair rentals who started asking me an my wife for rent even though we confronted them that we are sitting on a chair in our beach property. Also another thing all visitors need to be aware of is the price goughing that happens in the name of taxi and buses provided by the Hotel even though the hotel has its own taxi stand the taxi drivers along with the help of hotel staff have a racquet where they will ask you 1.5 times and during Friday night street party they were asking 2 times the cost than what all other taxi drivers in the area charge . So google for outside transportation first and ask the rates around before using hotel transportation. Hotel excursion staff is brilliant and the SPA needs a definite upgrade. With all the issues listed I still give this Hotel a 5 star for the rooms, cleanliness and its food.

The property is very run down and needs a lot of upgrades. Definitely will not stay there again especially considering how much it costs. For that price we could have stayed at a 5 star all inclusive resort. Not worth the money. Very disappointed.

WHAT WE LIKED: Terry and Elijah at the front desk were very nice and willing to accommodate! Mark, the maitre D at the single specialty restaurant, Chic, was very special. The small crab cake appetizer and sliced flank steak entree at Chic were tasty and cooked to order, and the ambience at Chic was upscale compared to the rest of the resort. The beach and ocean were nice, white sand, no rocks, clear and calm. The rooms all had spacious balconies. WHAT WE DIDN'T LIKE: There was only one specialty restaurant, Chic, open for dinner (closed on Wednesdays and Sundays). The menu was limited, some of the entrees were not available on certain evenings, and the wait staff would not let me order an appetizer and soup (because the soup was considered an appetizer, and the "rule" of the kitchen was only one appetizer, one entree and one dessert per person per meal, even though we paid an upcharge of $100 per person per day for the all-inclusive option, which we regretted doing a third of the way into our stay. The breakfast buffet was adequate but limited. The quality and variety of the food at the buffet was disappointing. Table service at buffet after being seated was spotty at times and virtually non-existent at other times. We were harrassed almost constantly on the beach by locals selling their wares, although we did like having the opportunity to buy fresh coconuts on the beach. The rundown property kept running out of Baileys, tequila, etc. Not a VIP experience.
