We booked 3 rooms for 5 nights, and on 4 days, there were multiple instances of extremely strong pot coming in through the AC vents in two rooms. The hotel has both a non-smoking policy and the "IHG Clean Promise", but couldn’t switch our rooms since the hotel was full, so we notified the front desk staff that we wanted to talk to the manager Despite assurances from the front desk staff, the manager did not contact us during our stay, nor afterwards. In fact, the managing supervisor on our 4th night was surprisingly hostile, and told us that since Florida has a medical marijuana law, there was no way they could do anything, and we should just deal with it. (We weren't the only ones complaining about the smell--the lady on shift the previous evening had asked if we were on the 4th floor, because they'd gone up to walk the hall, and hadn't smelled anything; we were on the 2nd floor, so this wasn't an isolated incident). At the time of our check out, we were told that the reason the manager hadn't called was because she was on vacation, but would definitely get in contact with us. We left both phone and email contact information, and over a week later, have not heard anything. The rooms were adequate for the price, water pressure fine, the bar staff delightful. However, the supervisor was rude, manager was completely absent, and I am completely astounded that the hotel would be so cavalier about someone habitually smoking pot in the hotel.
