I was extremely disappointed with this stay. The listing gave the impression that we were renting a private vacation rental, but it turned out to be a single room in a bed and breakfast. That should have been made much clearer because it completely changed the experience.
The property itself was not well maintained. The shower head was heavily clogged with mineral buildup, the bathroom grab bars were rusty, there was broken tile near the sliding door that appeared to be a safety hazard, and the hair dryer was filthy. It felt neglected and nothing like what we expected based on the listing.
The biggest issue, however, was the experience with the host and communication. There was constant miscommunication from the beginning, and instead of resolving the situation professionally, the host’s adult son, who was heavily intoxicated the first time we met—became confrontational and aggressive toward my wife and me. No guest should have to feel uncomfortable or intimidated while trying to sort out issues that weren’t their fault.
Overall, this stay was stressful from start to finish. Between the misleading listing, poor property condition, and unprofessional handling of concerns, I would not recommend staying here.
