Great Hotel

Hotel was very nice, very clean and owner was very friendly. Location was handy particularly if you are doing a tour/day trip around the area as the pick-up/drop-off spot is very close. One downside was our bathroom was not in our room. It was a private bathroom for only us but we had to go across the hall to access it. Other than this had no problems.

Works well for independent traveller

The room and attached private bath was good size and very clean. The location is a little farther north than most tourist accommodations, but it is still very walkable to the train station and tourist sites(although I recommend walking on the Via Monaco side of the train tracks, I made wrong turns and had to backtrack twice when I walked the other side because I missed a pedestrian walkway). To be clear, this is not a typical hotel, it is a flat converted to, I think, 5 guest rooms and a common breakfast area. It worked very well for my needs. It is best for the very independent traveller. Also, there is a copyedited shop next door, which worked very well for me to print some business materials I needed for a conference.

Sadly disappointed.

Paper thin walls; crazy loud guests at 4:00 AM first night; no staff at desk for the majority of our stay. Twenty five minute walk from central piazza where the Duomo and major sites are located. Very challenging for taxis due to construction in front of "hotel" (really a b&b on the fifth floor of a residential building). Generally clean; no amenities. Manager helped out with taxi early morning of our departure and was pleasant.

Amazing place, close to the train station and bus.

We stayed here for 8 days, George was very nice and helpful, the rooms were always clean and nice. Close to train station, buses and shuttle buses. Don't let the exterior of this place scare you as it is a truly convenient location and easy to access all major needs. Only 15 min walk to eatily, train station, and 30 min walk to central Florence.

Good and comfortable

The stay, location, rooms were excellent. The staff was nice and friendly. But we got a room where the toilet was in the corridor and not in the room. While booking was promised a city view with balcony but could no balcony and window was overlooking on the other side of town.

The place is closed in distance from everything 20 minutes with kids. The room was comfortable other than the bed, when I made the reservation with private bathroom I expected that it would be inside the room, not comfortable to have to wake up to take the kids to the bathroom or to walk in my pj. if you are planning to stay here make sure you speak a little italian no english speaking personal.

Great place to stay

The room was fantastic, very big with a great shower and balcony. The hotel is close to the main train station and very easy walk into the centre of Florence. Very friendly people who help with anything they can which was lovely.

Excellent hotel walking distance to the centre of Florence. The men who is the owner is the nicest person very helpful and kind! The place is very clean and taking care of! Highly recommended!!!! Please try restaurant recommended by the owner! The best food in Florence also very cheap!

Clean well maintained b&b

The hotel is conveniently located about 10 minutes away from Firenze S.M.N which was a blessing. Its also quite close to a bus stop on fratelli Roselli since buses are the best way to move around Florence. The room was well maintained and clean. The windows appeared to soundproofed since we could not hear any traffic noise from the road below. The beds though were not very comfortable. The breakfast area was well stocked. I liked this hotel for its convenient location and price.

The hotel was clean and comfy. The location was okay- I would have liked to have been closer to the action. They say it's about a 10 minute walk to the train station, but i would say more like 15mins to the station and another 15 to the city centre. Doesn't seem like much but on a hot day it seemed like a lot of walking. The breakfast was very basic....no fresh bread, meats, etc. There was yogurt in the fridge and some apples and bananas. The room itself was good- no complaints.
