Dont stay at this place. While the room itself wasn't that bad, the entry door is a barred prison style door. The entry to the building is dark, dirty and downright scary; particularly at night. Hotels.com should be ashamed to be affiliated with this place

Location is ideal. I walked over 15 miles a day. I recommend you just wander around and get lost. Then you turn a corner and find yourself in front of a major monument or some hidden spot that connects you to your heritage.

This is a great bargain in Florence, terrific location. Part of the Hotel La Scaletta, a 4 star hotel, across the street. Not 4 star itself, but very comfortable and well maintained, with great service. Would recommend it to anyone spending time in Florence. That side of the Arno, the Oltrano, is a welcome break from the craziness across the river!

The location is perfect, right across the bridge from all the main tourist spots. It is more similar to a BNB. It’s across from the main hotel and the rooms are all on a locked floor and the building is locked. It felt pretty safe and seemed like it used to be an apartment. They do daily house keeping and the main hotel across the way is very helpful. There are no phones in the room which was no problem for us but just an FYI. The room was very spacious and bed comfy. It’s a good spot if you don’t plan to spend much time in the room and is affordable. The only con was the WiFi barely worked. We would stay here again for a quick trip.

I had to leave the Tuscany area a day early. I gave this htel 3 weeks early so they could re-rent the room. They told me it wouldn'tbe possible because I ordered through a website that didn't offer refunds. They told me my only option would be to get a medical excuse but they would evaluate if it was legitimate.I guess they are medical people too. Ridiculous! If you are smart find a different place to stay. There are many lovely places.

Although we were at the Florence Old Bridge we had full access to the Hotel SCALETTA Ponte Vecchio which included breakfast and access to the rooftop area. Parking was not the easiest but the hotel was very helpful with arrangements at a local garage which picked up the car at the hotel and then dropped it at a nearby plaza when we departed.
