we loved the rustic feel of the place - the gardens and plants around the facility were well kept and beautiful the art collection was amazing! I'm sure they get tons of visitors so carpets need some updating but the volume must wear them down quickly

Great hotel, however it is absurd in 2025 to not provide daily housekeeping at these prices. They also refused a request for a one hour late check out on a multi-day stay saying “we don’t do that here.” That’s a first.

Diappointed in Fairbanks

Staff is very friendly. However, the hotel is very dated. The bathroom is very small and difficult to get out of the shower. There is no continental breakfast and the buffet is $18.95. I asked if there was a restaurant nearby because I hated paying so much for a meal that I didn’t want much. No other options! Clearly this place needs a makeover

We love Pike’s! Totally off the charts Alaskan kitsch. It borders on the absurd but always stays JUST inside the line. Have stayed there many times over the years for work and family trips. Excellent Alaskan regional Art (Fejes, DeRoux, Matchetanz, etc.) and … ducks, stuffed dead animals, ice cream and neon! What’s not to love? Stay here. It is not another anonymous tourist hotel. On the river, plenty beer, ice cream, and bocce. You will have a story to tell when you get home.

One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in, in years. The bed was comfortable and I got whiffs of bleach. It made me smile knowing it was clean. And the breakfast was delicious. I thought it was going to be a continental breakfast; no, a full breakfast. Décor was modern and well done. Wonderful stay.
