we loved the rustic feel of the place - the gardens and plants around the facility were well kept and beautiful the art collection was amazing! I'm sure they get tons of visitors so carpets need some updating but the volume must wear them down quickly

Booked thru expedia and chose prepaid option several weeks in advance. Showed up at hotel and they had no record of a reservation so they had no management on site and made we wait a long time until someone finally showed up to fix the mistake. They did not apologize and the manager would not even come out from the back to explain why this happened. I have stayed at Pikes several times and have told many other business associates about them but will not stay here again after this happened.

The team went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. I felt very welcomed here. We stayed here one night prior to our Princess Cruisetour and wished we could have stayed here rather than the Princess Lodge. The amenities were amazing. Loved the reindeer. This place had a fitness room that actually worked and was open during our stay. The hot breakfast in the morning was so nice. I didn't feel like I was being charged for every extra from Pike's. Being able to play a game of pool as well was an unexpected bonus.

This property is nice, but needs updating. The carpet in the hallway is worn. I certainly would not call the front desk staff and ice cream staff friendliest in the world as they advertise. The sauna was being renovated. Aromatherapy was not available. This should be noted on the website.

The cabin we stayed in needed work. The tub needed caulking, someone else's room key was on the carpet floor. Paint peeling on the front door. The high prices they charge we could of had a room elsewhere for a 10th of the price. Stayed there last summer, but this summer we were disappointed. Continental breakfast was nice though, they had a fire in their normal restaurant. 2 of the front desk people were not very nice. We got there 20 minutes before check in & he would not check us in, then when we came back the women was acting like she was doing me a favor, not very good customer service. The cabins were over $350+ a night.

I stayed in the new section of Pikes, the rooms have either a balcony or a deck that runs the length of the building and overlooking the Chena River.
Beautiful view outside of my room.
