"Keep in mind, we visited in the peak of summer, this hotel is over 100 years old, and in the mountains. That being said, there is no AC in the rooms but there were plenty of fans provided which was enough to keep the room cool. The hotel has pretty outdoor areas and well kempt with a sparkling pool, cute fire pit area, and outside sitting area. Loved that the rooms had a small kitchenette to make or heat up food. Also loved the large traditional coffee pot as opposed to what newer hotels offer. There was drinking water in the main lobby and bar area. There is also a small library with books, dvds, and a bunch of board games. This hotel is also right next to the tram way so we could see the little sky cars go up and down. Loved the history and overall feel of this hotel. It only has 27 rooms and is very quiet as opposed to the Stanley that has frequent tours and outside visitors. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again!"
