The Georgia Guidestones are fascinating and worth the side trip! Located in Elberton, GA, not too far from the Georgia/ South Carolina border.

I was especially happy to mark the first item off my bucket list! I've wanted to see the guidestones for a long time. :)

The message on the stones is written in 8 modern languages and 4 ancient ones. Modern: English, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Hebrew, Arabic, Swahili and Hindi. Ancient: Sanskrit, classical Greek, Egyptian hieroglyphs, and Babylonian. Also on site is a time capsule with an inscription to be opened on an unnamed date. The guidestones are just as impressive as they are mysterious and there's lots more about them than I can write here. Check them out! :)
Very interesting story. Definitely something to see!
Called the American Stonehenge by some, the "Georgia Guidestones" are both interesting and mysterious. Located just a few miles outside Elberton, Georgia, they are well worth a visit.
