The ocean is a mere 30 strides away from Villa Las Olas, and the views of the sea and the Gulf of Papagayo from our patio and pool are worthy of a travel magazine! Bahia Pez Vela, a community of only 40 privately-owned homes, is the only development on this secluded and beautiful Blue Flag beach, and uniquely imparts a sense of unmatched exclusivity and luxury.

The large private jetted infinity pool and beachfront location make Villa Las Olas the premier home in the community. The pool shines at night. Mesmerizing lights dance off the fountain and the swaying palms above and night sounds of the adjacent forest lull as the jets swirl luxuriously warm waters around tired bodies.

The pool area is the work of Costa Rican architect Juan Roca and was featured in Su Casa architecture magazine. The Italian tumbled travertine stone and a sleek teak deck are paired with Costa Rican-made Castelle outdoor lounges, dining, and deep-seating conversation pieces.

Our home provides ample room for up to six adults and two children, but is still intimate enough for traveling twosomes. Two of the three generously sized bedrooms are ocean-front, which makes the set-up ideal for two couples or families. The third bedroom can be set up with a King or two Twin beds.

The newly-remodeled and fully-equipped kitchen provide options for home-cooked meals or in-home chef services, The full-size washer and dryer are convenient for those who travel light. Three light-filled bathrooms are newly remodeled with high-end finishes. All furnishings are fresh and tropical, but also practical and child-worthy. Kitchen, bedroom and bath linens are provided, as well as pool towels.

Our home is air-conditioned with individual controls in each bedroom. Some like it cool, while others prefer an overhead fan and an open window to enjoy the pleasant ocean breezes and sounds.

The beach is alive with a seasonally-changing array of inhabitants. Breeching whales, hatching baby turtles, skipping dolphins, hermit crabs, and magical tide pool critters are all here. So are parakeets, tiger herons, blue-green mot mots, and howler monkeys, all of which are most active and morning coffee and evening cocktail times.

The Bahia Pez Vela Resort community provides a full array of concierge, business, maid, maintenance, and gardening services, as well as 24/7 security. Cesar and Jacky are available to help you make arrangements for your Costa Rican adventures. Ziplining, hot springs, wildlife tours and cloud forest visits are popular, but don’t forget the cooking schools, horseback rides, paddle-boarding and poolside massages!

The property offers an on-site open air restaurant that provides breakfast, lunch and dinner service.

If yours is a working vacation, fiber-optic high-speed WiFi is available throughout our home and on the outdoor patio. Cellular service is strong, and Skype, WhatsApp and FaceTime work exceptionally well. Basic office services are available from our Reception Office team. And if you need access to North American television, the living room has an enhanced HD cable TV service which brings in North American cable media outlets.

What a phenomenal host! She was incredibly responsive and provided a wealth of helpful information before and during our stay. The home was beautifully maintained, fully stocked with all the essentials, and featured a stunning pool with breathtaking views—just steps from the beach. The receptionist staff was equally wonderful, accommodating our requests and answering every question with ease.I have no complaints—this property truly exceeded expectations. When I return to Costa Rica (and I absolutely will), I would love to stay here again.

This was our family's 4th stay at Bahia Pez Vela. We just can't get enough! It is truly a little piece of heaven. The location of this unit is wonderful. The access to the ocean, in conjunction with the private pool, is really perfect. The kitchen is well stocked, and we really enjoyed cooking there. Our 4 teenage girls had the time of their lives. I wanted to squeeze in some excursions, but my family was so content they never wanted to leave the property. We can't wait to come back again and again.

Paradise

We loved our stay and can’t wait to bring everyone back next year! You don’t even have to leave the condo if you don’t want to. The resort restaurant was nice when we didn’t feel like cooking or going out. The rooms were well kept along with the kitchen. The view can’t be captured perfectly in a picture. You must see it to believe it. The pool was amazing and the beach was perfect. We traveled with our 4 parents who are 65 and our toddler. We could go from the pool to the beach and back. We did adventure out for a hike, tubing, and Diamante adventure park to see some animals. We also were picked up from our beach for a catamaran sunset tour! I highly suggest staying here over an all-inclusive resort. We can’t wait to come back!

Property was super clean and was filled with everything needed for a great stay. Best stocked kitchen we have experienced so far. Only complaint I can make is the development doesn't respect the privacy of the unit. First they allowed the local beach users to set up for the day on the grass area between the pool and beach. Secondly the maintenace department decided to use that area for two days to replace beach chair cover replacements even after I requested they move to a different location. Apparently they preferred the shade and beach view that I believe was meant for the unit.

Beautiful property. Well equipped. Communication with LaRaye the owner was fantastic. The instruction sheet was incredibly comprehensive and helpful - everything needed for the property but also lots of great recommendations for restaurants, activities, getting through the airport, where to buy groceries and alcohol, etc.

Fantastic Location, Perfect Place for a Family

This place was fantastic for a family with school age kids! It was well-equipped with all supplies, comfortable with furniture and very effective air conditioning, and had a pool that exceeded expectations. The location, with the ability to walk right out the backyard to the beach, was unbeatable. The resort location is not too far from the airport but feels remote; the restaurant is delicious with wonderful service. We had such a great time that we will certainly return!

This property is first class. It’s even better than the listing indicates. It’s situated within the resort so that it only has one neighbor to the right and wilderness to the left. Only spot in the whole complex with a private pool. Walk to the beach barely qualifies as a walk, it’s more like a step-out. Clean, comfortable, and has everything in it to make it your home for a while. It’s not for budget travelers, that’s for sure. The restaurant there is pretty pricey but delicious. We cooked a lot. But if you want the best spot, it’s worth the money. We saw monkeys, iguanas, and wild birds. 10 out of 10 would recommend

Excellent Beach Location

We have been traveling to Costa Rica many times but this was our first stay at this villa. It's a little out of the way from Playa de Coco which is why we chose it. It was part of a property that had 40 villas up the hillside with this one being right on the beach. The villa was wonderful and just as pictured and described. The host was very responsive and helped us get the grill going the first day. The kitchen is very nicely stocked and we cooked out every night, they even had a spice rack which was a present surprise and helpful. The on-property restaurant is high quality and we ate there the first night. Having a private pool was perfect with lots of local wildlife to watch and enjoy. We were only steps from the beach and took advantage of swimming in the ocean and using some of the provided toys. All in all, a perfect week's stay.

This is our second stay in LaRaye's beautiful home, and each time is such a blessing. The property is beautiful, and everyone that works in the resort is so friendly. LaRaye is a joy to communicate with, she is efficient and kind. We love having the pool at the house and watching the numerous birds come drink from it. Nice and close to the beach and restaurant. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the beautiful country of Costa Rica!

An amazing experience!

Villa 4 at Bahia Pez Vela was such a gem! The house and amenities were perfect and just as described. The private pool is bigger than I imagined and so perfect after having been at the beach all day. The jets were a game changer! The kitchen is huge with everything you could need and the washer/dryer came in handy as well. Once booked, LaRaye sent very detailed notes regarding the property and extremely useful tips and recommendations. Caesar at the property was very accommodating and helpful with booking transfers and activities. Second time coming to Costa Rica and I will definitely be back to this villa! LOVED it!

Paradise!

We loved everything about this place. Not only was it situated in the middle of paradise (literally), but it was also on the perfect lot at the end of the street, the pool was luxurious, and the inside was clean, well-equipped, and very very comfortable. We wanted for nothing because it was well stocked. The only thing we missed was a pizza cutter! But the knives worked great. Awesome place - we really do hope to be back again someday very soon. It was paradise!

The property was unique and wonderful.
