My reservation was all messed up. The hotel is under construction, very poorly renovated. The shower took forever to get hot, there is dry wall dust everywhere, the tub doesn't drain all the way, half the outlets in the room dont work. I asked for fresh bedding and towels and was told there is only one house keeper on staff so she would change them if she had time. Won't be staying again. David at the front desk when I checked in was helpful

Baymont by Wyndham Hotel at Auburn Hills South is currently undergoing renovations as of May 2026. The hotel does not offer “Free Breakfast,” despite this being indicated on the Hotels.com listing. There is also no mention of the ongoing renovation on your website. In addition, Room 326 does not have a fridge, contrary to what guests may expect based on the information provided online. Please update and correct the information on your website accordingly, as the current listing on Hotels.com is misleading.

Supposed to be breakfast. Under renovations. No breakfast. Not even a bag breakfast. No coffee or cream etc. in the room. Floors were very dirty. Unable to access the lobby. Never saw any staff except when checked in. Marijuana smell throughout the hotel. Elevator was filthy. Had a kitchenette but nothing in it at all. Was not usable in any sense. Was told by check-in person the website was up to date but that was a lie. It does not say under construction. It does not say no breakfast served. There was a stack of large bags of trash inside an exit door. It grew the entire time we were there. The entire stay was horrid!
