The room was clean, the staff was good, and the new cabin neighborhood was excellent. However, I have the same complaint that I do with every hotel room I stay in -- the pillows are TOO FAT. I aways wake up with a stiff neck. How about providing at least ONE wimpy, skinny pillow per room.

we had a wonderful stay at the Ranch at Death Valley. we stayed in the cottages. the room was well equiped and the bed was comfortable. walking distance is a restaurant and every meal we had was excellent. the ice cream shop was so cute. there was a saloon there and shops. it was close to all the places we wanted to see. the area was clean and well maintained. i highly recommend this place and plan on staying here again.

not the greatest start - front desk put us in a room that backed onto a building site (the caution tape started at our patio). The outdoor furniture was filthy. They were gracious enough to offer us a better room across the hallway - but I'm baffled why we didn't get this room straight away. Outdoor patio furniture was still filthy, so we had to wipe that down before we could use. Otherwise, pluses were the friendliness of staff, the general upkeep of the outdoor areas, the options for things to do and the quality breakfast buffet for a reasonable $21. The minuses were the rooms - very basic and Days Inn-like for a massive pay hike. I get the place is IN the park, but triple the price for a budget-esque room is a bit much.
