"Great hotel"
Beautiful hotel, very nice rooms. Heated outdoor pool was very nice but a little small when there were quite a few people in it whenever my girls went down to swim. The restaurant and bar were in a different building but just across the parking lot so not far. My only complaint was that the first night we were there, we went to the restaurant and spent about $60. The next evening we went without someone in our 4-person party as she was not feeling well and the waitress gave us 15% off our bill for staying in the hotel. She said you get 15% off if you are staying at the motel and no one had told us this....not the hotel when checking in nor the waitress the night before. Also, the band at the restaurant/bar was a little loud as it was outside and we could hear the pounding from our room until late. Otherwise, the hotel was wonderful

"Nice, clean hotel, but very noisy on the front."
Rooms are updated. Nice clean small hotel. Quite noisy on the front side. The taco restaurant on the opposite side of the street is bomb.

"Good place to stay "
The hotel grounds are very nice. The staff are quite helpful. The room was extremely clean. However all rooms have entrances that face to the outside and there is not an elevator to the second story and the steps are wet when there is fog. There is noise from aircraft from Mirimar Naval Air Station until early evening and if you are near the back of the hotel there is freeway noise. The beds were a little hard for me but doable. The restaurant is not open for breakfast. There is a nice clean pool. For the price it was a good value.

"Needs work"
Lovely location. Beautiful grounds, landscaping and beach on the bay. Room another story. Size great. Beds okay, but pretty hard. Bathroom tile grout really gross. Furnished rubber mat for bottom of tub horrible idea, plus had a silver fish inside it. Had really weird sound made every so many minutes, like a sonar ping. Do not know what it was associated with, could not track down precise source. One ceiling vent rattled horribly. The metal roofs look really great, and I'm hoping they are changing them all over - because two buildings with wood shake shingles are severely deteriorated, have tarps in areas, and look horrible. If you just want a good location, this is wonderful. For the price though, I expected better rooms. They badly need to invest cash back into their rooms. The guys out front taking care of the cars were the high point of customer service though. Cudos to them.

"Perfect Getaway!"
Everything about Loew's was just wonderful! Every staff member greeted us, no matter what time of day! We did not have a car, so the parking fee was not an issue for us. We took advantage of the shuttle to Coronado almost every day. We walked to the beach to watch the sunset each night. It was an extremely relaxing getaway! I would highly recommend this hotel!

Our stay was far from superior. The room and staff were great. However, there was a large group on our floor that had a party from our check in until about 3am. I finally called the front desk at 2:30. We had an early flight so we're up at 4:20. Not sleeping at all was not great. The front desk was nice about the problem, but the noise and chaos on our floor was ridiculous.

"Fun, Friendly Service"
We enjoyed our stay with our 10-year old son. The retro-video games in the lobby were a plus, as were the apples and lemon/cucumber water. The location on the beach is nice, especially if you are interested in surfing lessons, which are offered on the beach directly in front of the hotel. Our room was on the parking lot side and there was a bit of street noise, but not late at night. Service was very accommodating, and all my requests were handled quickly and effectively. The snacks and drinks on offer in the lobby are limited in variety, but reasonably priced by hotel standards. We'd stay again.
