Host was excellent and allowed us to check in a few hrs early since we arrived from North Carolina a bit sooner than expected. I really can’t say enough good things about him. The property was nice as well except for a few things. First was the fact it listed the fireplace as an amenity and I solely booked it because it was in a snow belt with a fireplace only to find out the fireplace place is not in working order and had a sign stating not to light it for any reason. That right away really upset me. I drove 11 hrs to sit in front of a fireplace and watch it snow with my wife. Second came at bedtime when we pulled back the sheets in the bed downstairs that overlooks the lake. We found hair throughout the bed as well as a two foot long hair on my pillow. Upon stripping the bed to wash it my wife found a used condom just under the side of the bed. Rooms upstairs were slightly better but still not as clean as they should be. Carpets had fake pine needles throughout the living room so it obviously wasn’t vacuumed or cleaned properly either. Pet owners also beware this property sits feet from a fairly busy road but does have a good backyard.
