The property was beautiful. Our room was very pretty, but I had requested a room with a view and asked again at check-in. I was told my room had a street view. It actually was an interior room and had a view of a brick wall and some air conditioning units. We had a problem with our toilet continually flushing, but maintenance had already left for the evening. We were offered to move rooms, but it was late and we opted to not. Sadly from somewhere on our floor or outside the window and Marvin Gay song played on repeat until 2:30 in the morning when we called the front desk. The music stopped almost instantly after that. The evening staff was wonderful. We had asked for a recommendation for dinner and they sent us to the Rabbit hole which was fantastic. When we arrived back at the hotel a couple hours later they greeted us and asked how our dinner was. Wished us a good night. They were fabulous.

Thank you for choosing to stay at the Mining Exchange Hotel and Spa. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and that our staff was accommodating. We do apologize that you were not given a room with a street view as requested and that your commode was not working properly. Next time you are in Colorado Springs we do hope that you will choose to stay with us again and we will ensure you have a better view!

Renovated building in a great area of Colorado Springs, with wonderful restaurants within walking distance. The construction in the lobby area created a chilly atmosphere when doors opened and closed, but we had a pleasant visit there nonetheless. My room was attractive and the amenities suitable, but it was cold. Even after I turned up the heat, the bathroom area was cold.

Location can't be beat. Right downtown, walking distance to great food and drink. Short drive to everything touristy. Biggest disappointment was the lack of attention to detail. Among the shortcomings, the bed, although extremely comfortable, was about 6 inches too short; and I'm only 5-11.We got massages at the MX Spa. I would not recommend the spa at all. In the Executive King, the seating outside of the bed was useless. The double headed shower was great, but the sink was so small, it was impossible to do anything without getting water all over the counter.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with us on your stay. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay overall. While our beds are standard King Size I did want to let you know that our Jr and Grand Suites have Love Seats in them and our Presidential has a Sectional Couch if you are wanting to be able to spread out, and as an added bonus the Suites have larger sink areas. Our Spa Director is Sophia Alberico, she would welcome the opportunity to learn more about your experience in the MX Spa. We do hope that you choose to stay with us next time you are in Colorado Springs, I am sure you will enjoy our beautiful Suites.

Great location downtown.

Our stay in the Hotel was as advertised and quite fun. Very nicely remodeled historic building. For just the one night a Monday, two rooms, all was fine until we ate at the hotel restaurant. Out of four entrees unfortunately three were very poorly done. With all the eateries in the area to choose from staying in was a mistake.

Very helpful staff

Pros: Friendly staff, valet parking, large shower, high toilets, and very clean rooms!
Cons: Longer beds
Location: Great pizza place right around the corner, Olympic Training Center just a few minutes away, Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, great downtown!!
This was a great hotel conveniently located downtown. The staff was very accommodating, and the valet boys were very nice. Our room was generous in size, and we liked the large shower. We also liked the high bowl toilets!! The beds were a bit short for a 6'3" person, but that is the only downfall we could find!! We will definitely stay here again!!

Spring in the Springs

Pros: Staff at the Mining Exchange was very attentive and courteous. Lobby, Room, Gym, Spa, and other available amenities are very nice.
Cons: Climate control, a couple nights our room got a little cool. There appeared to be a light switch to turn off air but couldn't tell if it worked?
Location: Downtown sightseeing, shopping, and eating. Manitou Springs, Old Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods, and much more!
I brought my Mom out from Oregon to Colorado Springs for a family visit and decided to stay downtown for a change of pace. Downtown Colorado Springs offers a multitude of things to do and sights to see. Additionally the ease of access to the surrounding area is a major plus!

One amazing night

I was in CS for just one evening to meet a friend. Staff was courteous and attentive. I stayed in the Grand suite, it was well appointed and very comfortable. If you add a kitchen I could live there. Indulge yourself!
