"The outside mountain views were amazing. There were deer in the area. The cabin was extremely clean and nice. It was decorated just right and made us feel at home. The kitchen had everything necessary plus extras if needed. The coffee maker was ready as well as a nice grinder. Amenities were numerous and appreciated. The gas fireplace was delightful. The large deck was nice and there was an outdoor fire pit. The property is all to itself with plenty of privacy to enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountain outdoors. There are great hikes nearby, including Seneca Rocks, Chimney Top, and Dolly Sods. Cheetah B's restaurant in Petersburg is great. I would highly recommend this property for a lovely getaway in the mountains. It snowed a bit on the last two days of our stay, which made the views even better. The host was very good and communicated well. I will definitely keep The Rusty Lantern in mind for future West Virginia trips. Excellent"

"The entire house was nicely decorated and very clean. The kitchen was spacious and well supplied. The attention to detail even flows into the bathrooms with towels that match the walls and iron towel racks and hooks. The thermostats were modern and easily adjusted. Parking was ample for 2 large vehicles and close to the porch or patio. Everyone in our gathering was very impressed and planning to return in the future."
