Cold, freezing room ....

Pros: The Valet Service Staff were outstanding and helpful
Cons: See my comment above about temperature of the room. It is only the Valet Service that I was able to give the Hotel and average rating instead of poor
Upon entering our room, we noticed how cold it felt. Checked the thermostat and it was set on 58degrees. Wowzer, but we had to get ready fast for a wedding we were attending. We moved the thermostat to 72degrees and when we returned later that night it had only made it to 67degrees. Good thing the bed was comfy. However, we could have used an additional blanket on our bed and when we checked the closet, there was none. Otherwise, the room was clean and the bed comfy. Please in the dead cold of winter, do not check your guests into a room this cold. We were in room 602 in case, you really care about this review. Also, the hotel being a 5Star facility stated they had a hotel shuttle available to transport to anywhere within a 3 mile radius of the hotel. We wanted a ride to the Transept and were told the shuttle was gone as a manager had taken to a hospital. I realize this might have been an emergency but really, only one shuttle and no one else could have taken the manager to the hospital. So, one compliment I would like to share is that the guys working the Valet Service were outstanding in helping us to our event and then later, picked us up in the shuttle ... only part of of the hotel staff that I can say were friendly and helpful.

I’m sorry to hear about your bad experience. We’re normally known for our exceptional attention to detail, and we regret that we missed the mark. Thank you for recognizing our valet staff.

Disappointed; Not a 4 star hotel

Had an overnight stay recently in the Executive King Suite. Made the choice of this hotel based off of the hotel and room amenities. Several items did not work in the suite such as the surround sound music system, several lights in the bathroom and upon returning to the hotel at the end of our night, there was no water whatsoever. When we checked with the front desk, was told that we should have been informed at check-in that they shut the water off during the night..we were not informed of this. We had no way to brush our teeth, prepare for bed, or needless to say, utilize the soaking tub. The transportation for the hotel was already booked with airport transfers for other hotel guests and therefore was not able to utilize the "free" hotel shuttle. The cleanliness of the room was mediocre at best. The bed was terribly uncomfortable and the "pillows" were awful. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone. It's a 2-3 star at best.

Gorgeous and close to everything

First time staying at this unique hotel and we had a great experience! Our room was upgraded and absolutely gorgeous, staff were friendly and helpful, and we were close to everything. We walked to the riverfront to see the Labor Day fireworks which were fantastic this year. This was a great deal and we'll definitely be staying here again.

Holiday evening downtown

Pros: The room was updated and very comfortable. The location was great. I would recommend the hotel if you are not paying top rate.
Cons: The customer service was just average. We've had much better customer service from other hotels in downtown Cincinnati that are not rated as high.
Location: Great location near the theatre with a lot of dining options nearby. Fairly close to Fountain Square.
We booked the room for one evening in order to stay downtown after the theatre. The location was great as it is near the theatre and plenty of dining choices. Our experience with the staff was mixed. The parking valet did his job but without a welcome or a smile. Check in was easy, but the clerk at the desk ignored me while he finished working on his computer and before checking me in. We stopped by the bar after the show in order to get a drink but no one addressed us before we ended up leaving. We called down to valet to request our car before coming down and after checking out and waiting about 10-15 minutes I asked the valet if he could check on my car. He asked my name and said it would be up soon. Another 15 minutes went by before the bellman enquired into what we were waiting for. He checked with the valet and told us that our car had not been ordered and that they were getting it now. All in all we waited 40 minutes to get our car. If the first valet had actually looked into what was happening with my car then we would have been much less annoyed at the "miscommunication". The front desk did remove the valet parking charge from our bill, which was appreciated. The hotel is lovely and our room was very nice and very comfortable. I think I just expected better than just average service from a hotel with such a good reputation and rating.

Great Hotel, Great Price

Very nice hotel with a great location downtown. Staff was great. Valeted my sports car and it came back in one piece. The room was clean and nice. It was very dry in the room because of the A/C running non-stop. Not much they can do about that. The cold water was really hot had to run it for several minutes to get it luke warm.

Downtown, close to lots of things to see & do

Beautiful hotel, very nice accommodations, great Travelocity price. Probably a much nicer hotel than I would have booked on my own!

OLD and OUTDATED!! Not worth wasting your money!

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Update decor, add fridges to rooms, replace beds.
Room decor was outdated! Bed size was supposed to be a queen, but was a full size and had the comfort level of a prison bed. The room didn't even have a fridge! The best thing about the whole room was the bathroom. Pretty disappointing! When the check out staff asked how the say was and I told them how bad it was all she said was I'm sorry. We will NEVER stay at this hotel again!

just okay

I really enjoyed the tub and shower. The staff was very nice and friendly. I however found the bed to be so uncomfortable, tossed and turned alot. Our room was located close to the bar so we could barely hear our tv. for the oroce and experience I would rather stay else where next time.

A very classy hotel.

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet, the internet connection is fast
Cons: no vending machines expensive minibar in room
The room was very attractive, with a nice layout and there was plenty of space. The staff were very friendly, polite and responsive. The restaurant was a good value and the food I had was delicious. The whole place has a quality feeling. It is an old building that has been well rehabbed and updated. However, the floors are not even under the carpeting in the hallway, so it was not a gut rehab, but that sort of adds to the old world flavor. There is a lot of art, both in the hallways and in the rooms, and it is tasteful (prints, art photography and historic photography).
