Unprepared and Disappointing
This was a rough stay. I booked a king suite a few months in advance, arrived to find all the king suites were occupied or had not yet been cleaned. They eventually dug us up a room after standing around for 15 minutes but the room was rough and not the vibe and price of a "suite". To top it off, the shower head was corroded to the point where it barely spit water out. The breakfast was pretty much gone by the time we got down there around 9am. They tried bringing food out to the hungry patrons but couldn't keep up. At the end of the day, we were able to safely sleep but was hoping for a bit more for the price we paid.

It is a Saturday night and you would like to think hotels would have staff to accommodate a busy weekend date. Instead, there was no staff at the Homewood Suites front desk. Waited 10 minutes until housekeeping told us to go to next door Hampton desk. Then waited 15 minutes. Could not check in. Went for a long walk and came back at 4PM. Checking was to be at 3PM. Could not gain access to our room until 4:15PM. 45 MINUTES to wait in line to simply check in. 2 staff total to manage the front desk of two hotels. They could not take my credit card at the one hotel and made me walk to the other to process. Ridiculous and longest wait we have ever had in any hotel in the world, literally. We have been to 70 countries as well and spend a lot on hotel stays in the United States and worldwide.

Three day stay they did not come and clean our room once when we got to the front desk, we had to go to the opposite side just to get checked in the room smelled it moldy. There was some deterioration on the roof.

Property was wonderful! Very clean inside and out. Many options available for breakfast and a snack and coffee bar. Our room was a King studio but we were able to be upgraded to a Queen 1bedroom for free. The room had a lot of space with floor to ceiling windows and 2 queen beds plus a sofa bed. It was like being at home! We hung out in the living area and watched tv and studied. My 2 year old nephew had lots of space to roam and never got bored. I’d highly recommend this hotel and plan to stay again in the future.

It is the largest and best hotel room I have stayed in anywhere. Right downtown Cincinnati. Very convenient to everything. Wonderful staff, especially the valet crew!!!

Check in time is 3pm . Room still wasn’t ready at 730 pm very unhappy. Then they finally gave us a different room but there was leftover opened food and drinks in the room from previous guest which means it was not thoroughly cleaned. Very let down considering we paid almost $300 for one night

The shower needed a bit of TLC, dirt and hair around the caulking. The kitchen sink also backflowed and some smelly substances wouldn't wash down. The valet service leaves much to be desired. The room was generally clean and staff pleasant. Breakfast average. Overall a bit pricey for the area.

It was a lovely room to sleep for the night. A bit noisy in the streets but that’s to be expected in the downtown area. The toilet in our room kept running so we had to jiggle the handle to get it to stop after each use. The room was clean and breakfast was good. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

We were greeted at the curb by valet Jamarr (sp). Super nice and accommodating. The front desk and every other employee we came into contact with, were very nice and helpful. Our room was very clean, but a little outdated. Minor issues such as running toilet, and refrigerator gasket pulled away from door. Small inconvenience that wouldn’t stop me from staying there again.

A lot of different issues with my card. The front desk person even wrote my credit card number down on a piece of paper which rubbed me the wrong way. The lights didn’t work in the room and neither did the telephone.

All service team members were polite and upbeat, and helpful - a shout out to the two ladies who were breakfast attendants, they provided a fun conversation and a welcoming attitude, they made me feel at home. The property status is dated and used, but all was clean in my room and the general areas, well lit. Best to get the carpet cleaned in front of the elevators, high traffic areas, as well as some of the furniture. Breakfast could use less processed foods (muffins & pastries loaded with sugar) and more fresh fruits, and offer some yogurt.

Needs better parking/security. Over 30 break ins in the last month. Hotel claims no responsibility since they don’t own garage. Be careful, don’t bring a vehicle if you can.
