Home to one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher learning, Princeton, New Jersey, is centrally located in the heart of the Garden State, just a dozen miles from the capital, Trenton, and just over an hour from New York City. Flights to Princeton will bring visitors into Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), and from the airport, it's about a 40-mile drive southwest to the city. Transportation from EWR
When arriving at EWR, there are many options for traveling from the airport to Princeton. However, if you plan to stay near campus and would like to keep costs down, in addition to the cheap Princeton airfare you'll pay, both Amtrak and NJ Transit offer train service between EWR and Princeton, with a station adjacent to campus, allowing for a very reasonably priced and super convenient trip.
