Where to stay in Berlin

Germany's exciting capital has 3,615 properties waiting to welcome you. Have a look through our impressive selection, choose your favorite option and start packing your bags for Berlin!

After a long day of exploring, there's nothing better than coming home to a luxurious room. The SO/ Berlin Das Stue and the Pestana Berlin Tiergarten are the top upmarket accommodations to check out here. That being said, you don't plan a getaway to stay in your room all week. If you're after a cheaper option, consider the Jugendherberge Berlin-International - Hostel or the Wallyard Concept Hostel.

If you haven't been to Alexanderplatz before, now's your chance! Make the most of your stay and reserve a place to sleep in the nearby area. The Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz and the Motel One Berlin-Alexanderplatz are a couple of recommended options.

Places to visit in Berlin

Enjoy some time strolling along Kurfürstendamm, a street that is frequented by tourists and locals. Need some more options? Anyone interested in history will like a few hours at Checkpoint Charlie. But there's more. You will discover lots to see and do while exploring Friedrichstrasse.

How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Berlin

If you like the idea of spending more time at the airport restaurants and less time at the security checkpoint on your way to Berlin, just follow these suggestions:

  • Make sure your boarding pass and passport are easily accessible. You will be instructed to show them straightaway.
  • It's important to know that belts with metal buckles can set off the body scanner's alarms. If you're wearing one, you may be instructed to take it off before proceeding.
  • Laptops need to be taken out of their protective carry bags and placed in a tub before going through the X-ray machine.
  • When you get to the security checkpoint, you'll be asked to place all gels, liquids and creams in a separate tray for scanning. Make sure they're all packed in containers smaller than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) and sealed in a clear zip-lock bag.
  • Untie your shoelaces in preparation for entering the body scanner. Depending on what type of shoes you're wearing, security may tell you to remove them.
  • Razors and knives are not permitted on board the aircraft. Tuck them away in your checked luggage to avoid forfeiting them at the airport security checkpoint.
