Carlsbad and Guadalupe Stay

We made a trip to Guadalupe Mountain NP and Carlsbad Caverns and this was a 30-60 min drive from our destinations. The home is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed getting to relax in the space. Directions and descriptions were all very accurate. Thank you for the stay!

A Fine place to Stay

Clean with the amenities we needed. Appreciated the washer and dryer — we did one load part way through our trip. Liked having the separate bedroom and living room/dining area. We used the kitchenette for breakfast and to pack lunches. I used the hot tub once and it was nice. Kitchen could use some more silverware (there’s one table knife) and a couple more glass glasses.

It met our needs

The detached garage apartment was fine for what my family of 3 needed. There are a few maintenance things and supplied that would be nice to have on hand, but the essentials were there. That there was not an oven was a surprise and that we had to use the lighter for the grill to ignite the burner was not the best. Beds were comfortable and location was great. Hot tub was clean and hot. Only having 3 spoons and no kitchen spices beyond salt. The kitchen table and chairs could use some maintenance as they wobbled and the tack strips for the upholstery poke through along the edges. Also it would have been nice to have laundry detergent since there is a washing machine. It was fine, but would have been a pleasant bonus to not have to go buy one pod of laundry detergent. Everything was clean. We were happy with the place.

The owner t Had texted me the day of my arrival stating that the yard was not cleaned up due to circumstances beyond their control.. the hot tub looked inviting but the yard was not

Comfortable stay

We stayed a couple of nights while visiting Carlsbad Caverns, which were about a 40 minutes drive away. The property was clean and comfortable. We did need a match to light the burners on the stove but as we had those on hand it was not a problem.

Perfect location

This was the perfect place to stay for a few days while we visited nearby Carlsbad Cavern National Park and Guadalupe Mountains National Park. Private quarters in a very nice neighborhood. Close to an Albertson's too.

Wonderful trip, but what’s up?

Property was a nice little apartment behind the garage. Decorated very cute. The sink in the bathroom was plugged and my husband had to unclog it so we could use it. We were give 2 bath towels and 1 washcloth for four days. More washcloths were definitely needed. The coffee pot was not the one for the maker and had to be rigged to work. And what in the world is up with 1 fork and 2 spoons in the kitchen. Definitely need more silverware. Clean up the patio area would be a good idea. It could have been an extra bonus if it had been tidied up. The furniture and around look like it is just been put out there. Airing it out would also help since it had a closed up smell. Like I said it could be a really nice little get away place if a little more attention to detail was given.

Good, Needs more info for babies

Overall good stay! Clean and safe property with comfortable accommodations. I would simply warn parents that there are skylights in the bathroom and living room and that there is no door between the bedroom and living room. If you were planning on having one kiddo sleep in the bathroom (pack n play), one in the bedroom, and/or one in the living room, you might need to rethink your plan.

Small, cute, tidy, very nice patio

Myself and three sons (teenagers). Very pleasant property. Cool, quiet neighborhood. Sleeping accommodations a little tight but perfect for what we wanted. Adequate kitchen and grills. Still needing to contact owner (mirror was broken when we arrived and one chair had a bunk leg). Good for family on a budget, would be a perfect getaway apartment for a couple.

We enjoyed our stay! Some small issues but, was addressed quickly! Beautiful little home, gorgeous patio & backyard area. Hot tube was Clean & relaxing. They had a few things to help entertain young ones. Trampoline, books, games.. etc I Do recommend this place.

Secluded Oasis

Our family would definitely stay again next time we visit the Carlsbad Caverns. This home was located on a quiet street surrounded by pecan trees and vines. The hot tube was crystal clean and was the perfect remedy for a long road trip. The home had everything we needed: kitchen, washer/dryer, and a relaxing living room and bedroom. The host provided all the local hot spots before we arrived and it made our trip so easy. Thank you for the awesome visit!
