Pros: free water, chocolate chip cookies, breakfast voucher ($27 to cover 3 ppl :/) to a great cafe. Coffee machine. Responsive host. Door code easy entrance. Ear plugs provided. Fluffy towels, lots of TP. TV with mute and CC options. 2nd bedroom had a mini couch to sit on. Free parking. Cons: listing photos need to be updated. We stayed in the Orange Blossom Room on the front of the house. There was no comfortable seating in the room, the desk was child sized and cramped in a corner. Loads of bird poop covered walkway to entrance. Porch was very dirty and the chairs were covered with pet hair. 2nd bedroom is only accessible through bathroom. Bathroom door was sticking really bad. Woke up everyone when shut or opened. The neighborhood was noisy. Loud dragsters and a car alarm went off forever on our night. The beds are quite high making it difficult to get in or out for some. The tub, fixtures and liner curtain were gross. Need to be replaced. P.S. I went back and looked at the reviews from past years and noticed others have mentioned this and suggested replacement. Time to take care of it! Final thought: I mention all the above because I always read the reviews before choosing a place to stay. The listing photos and reviews were the reason I finally chose this property. In my humble opinion, I feel the $214 charged was way over what I feel this particular room should be. Of course, we all see and value things differently. You be the judge. :)

Our room was warm and inviting, the decor was very cute and we felt like we took a step back in time. The vouchers for breakfast and discount card for area restaurants was very thoughtful. The location was within walking distance of shops, the library and museum, etc. We highly recommend The Fiddlers Inn in Carlsbad NM

What a quaint little place! Room was beautiful and loved the vintage decor. It had all amenities we needed plus some special items that were truly considerate: cookies, water, mints & even ear plugs as AC was a little loud. Was truly a treat! Wish I could have seen the owners to personally thank them as we checked in and out with instructions sent via text. Made it very easy and convenient. Was easy walk to several restaurants. Would recommend!

The property was really nice, although lighting was poor, but we could have paid less to stay in a branded hotel and had the same level of service. Breakfast was at a local bakery - not at the property. However, it was delicious!

Best Little Inn

Loved my stay here! What a cozy little place! The decor in my room was creative and fabulous, and I loved little touches like a plate of cookies and water in the fridge. Comfy bed and linens too. Also, I forgot a couple items and the concierge was happy to provide! The location is great as well, right in the heart of Carlsbad and close to an Albertson’s.

I was traveling with my daughter, and we were almost tired enough to stay at the sketchy motel in Whites City. Only our hungry kept us moving. We saw The Fiddlers Inn, on the booking site we use, and decided to try something different. I’m so glad we did. The room had its own exterior door, a cute bathroom, awesome bedroom, and all were very nicely decorated, and clean. 7 year old was running around checking everything out: “They left us cookies! You can have my earplugs, if I can have your peppermint patty! We can read these books! I’m first in shower!” Breakfast comes in form of a voucher to cafe, 2 doors down. I had bacon egg cheese croissants, she had French toast. Then I had time to braid her hair, before heading to the caverns. Perfect stay. Thank you Jenn

The stay was nice and all, but its definitely a small area thats cramped and overpriced for what it is worth. The breakfast, like many stays, is very meh. They just give goua coupon to go to the breakfast restaurant next door which is very good but very busy. Good luck trying to catch them on time if you want biscuits and gravy! Other than that...the yard is very nice, the rooms are comfortable, and I absolutely loved the cats there.
